Hope today is a better one for you Steve, and that you have no lasting effects from the wasp sting!
Here's how my Thursday and Friday went:
Ken and I drove to Iowa to make a delivery for his business. We're driving his pickup and pulling a flat bed trailer with steel that we're delivering. We left around 1:00 pm and around 5:00 one of the tires on the trailer blows. We drive 2 miles to the next exit, and pull into a McDonald's to change the tire. The lug nuts were frozen; Ken can't get the tire off. I went into the gas station next to McDonald's and got the phone number of a tire place. What luck! It was only 1/4 mile down the road from where we were.

We called the place and the owner had left, but said he would come back. Thanks to his air compressor,

the tire got changed and we were on our way!
We made our delivery and got back on the road around 10:30 that night. At 12:45 Ken decided he needed sleep (I'd been needing it for a while) and we decided to stop in MO and find a motel. Found a Super 8 and got a room. I jumped out of the truck, shut my door, Ken shut his door, and then realized the keys were still in the ignition!

We went to bed, and a call to
AAA the next morning took care of that problem.
On the way home, as we were coming out of St. Louis, we were driving on an overpass in the right lane, and a BIG Winnebago tried to pull into our lane! There was no shoulder and no place for us to go! Ken said there was probably only 6 inches between us when the guy realized we were there and pulled back into his lane.
After we got back home, I was talking to Dana on the phone and telling her all about this. She went to college in MO and asked where we spent the night. When I told her the name of the town, she said, "Oh no! That's the worst place in MO to stay! It's the meth lab capital of the state!" Who knew?
At least now we are home safely, and I slept GREAT last night!
