Annmarie, I hope whatever they are doing in the next couple of days gives you some relief.
I spent a month in the hospital before Cameron was born as well. Then as luck would have it, the docotr decided that Cameron was going to be born after the weekend and all our plans were made for Gary to be off of work and there. That Friday night, I took a turn for the worse. I remember calling home and letting the phone ring and ring over and over again, trying to get Gary to answer at 1 a.m. When he finally did, I said, we're having a baby, and he was like, yeah, on Monday. I kept saying, no, were having a baby now, you need to come to the hospital. Gary woke his daughter up, called a friend and dropped her off there and then came to the hospital. When he got there, he parked in the parking garage like he did every night/day he came to visit me, went to the front door and realized they were locked.
He said he tried several doors before he realized they were all locked and then he ran around to the back of the hospital where the emergency department was. As he went inside, the security guard stopped him and wanted to know where he thought he was going at 2 a.m. Gary said, my wife's having a baby, and the guard was stumpted, as to what Gary had done with me. Gary said he kept telling them that his wife was already upstairs in the hospital. So much for that great plan!!!
Another week? I'm taking the kids to Hilton Head on 7/18. Gary won't check here so someone please call me if baby T doesn't make an appearance before then.
Are you ready Julie? Life as you know it is going to change drastically. As soon as you bring that little child home, your going to wonder how you thought your life was complete without him/her. I'm so excited for you and Matt!
