SSMC2006 cruise friends

Cindy we got the picture of you guys, I'm guessing you guys were at Hooter's? How did you like it?

Too funny, Gail. Did Steve tell you that Gary got goosed? :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Hooters was good. We don't normally eat wings, so Gary had a burger, I had the philly cheese steak and Walker ordered a hot dog, which he never took a bite of because he decided to have some of Steve & Coleen's HOT wings. The curly fries were good too. Gary ordered a buffalo calimari appetizer which him & Steve ate.

We'll be back. Walker has already rubbed it into Cameron what he missed out on -- not the girls, but the wings. ;)

We were surprised by the crowd that frequents Hooters. It was packed on the way out with people waiting to be seated. I guess it's a popular place.

Well we made it home!

1 great time with friends. I agree Cindy we will definetly have to do that again. It was so nice to see you all again. The "ducky" will have a place of honor on the new boat!

2 cases of wine from the warehouse sale

and

TWO HOOTERS visited ( Amy we now have 8 in the passports already)

We had a wonderful time seeing Cindy, Gary and Walker. Cameron missed out.
We enjoyed the time immensely! The DVC place was very cool Walker did the tour for us. He knew as much as the girl working there :rotfl:

Afterwards we went to the Wine sale got a couple bargains and our slesman threw in a $50 bottle for free. Apparently we buy a LOT of wine:confused3

Then since we were only a few miles from Downers Grove we stopped there and at HOOTERS too. Just about 1/3 of the way to our two free, 200 wing parties.

After that we stopped at one of their Fire Stations to visit a friend and then came home.

Looking forward to our next adventure!

We had wings tonight, but they came from the pizza place. Ok, not as good as Hooters but they'll do in a pinch. We were out shopping for shorts and a bathing suit for Deanna and then remembered she had to go babysit in 45 minutes so we rushed home and just ordered pizza and wings.

Cindy - I am sure the wings kept Walker's attention away formt he hot dog....
:rotfl:

We had an awful day Saturday. After soccer we got a call from my father in law. Our dear dalmatian (who has lived with him for 2 1/2 years because Grandpa gives lots of snacks and attention) was not able to stand up and was vomiting blood. We knew her days were getting numbered her back hips have been getting weaker and weaker. We went to his house to pick her up and take her to the animal hospital. The vet checked her out and felt a very large mass in her abdomen - he suspected a tumor. Kelsey was 12 1/2 years old and we knew the only decision was to let her go. She was not in any visable pain. Her poor old body just gave out. We lost a great friend (even if she was a blockhead). I know she is in a much better place - chasing squirrels and romping in the green grass and swimming in clear ponds. Kelsey was a great companion for my father in law. She made sure he got out of the house and they WALKED and WALKED. We now are worried about him. He needs companionship. Today everyone is doing much better.

It was COLD here today and they just cancelled school for tomorrow. Nick totally missed his school being shown on the bottom of the TV screen.... Rich gets to stay home with him. He can work from home - lucky dog.
Maybe work will be closed tomorrow as well? one can hope. :confused3

Good night all! May everyone have a wonderful week.

Erin, so sorry to hear about your dog! Are you guys going to get your fil another dog? It sounds like it would be good for him to have one.

Deanna was asking if they were going to close schools tomorrow. The only time I remember my other kids getting a day off was when the wind chills were reaching the -50º mark. Not sure of the actual temps for tonight and tomorrow but I heard the wind chills are suppose to be -25 or so.

OH, I was on the computer this morning and realized Diana was logged into her IM. I asked her what they were doing and she said they were still in the terminal and that Good Morning America was taping there. GMA was not on at the time here today but I wonder if they will have something on their show tomorrow of what they taped today.

We are not sure on getting my FIL a new dog. We will give it a little bit of time. We did tell him that he deserves a vacation and he has 5 days on his Disney ticket left. He has no excuses......

YEP - that is the reason for our school closings. wind chills in the double negative digits. I will tell Nick to watch GMA in the am and look for Deanna.

Tell him to look for Diana, Emma & Julia. Hopefully Deanna will be in school tomorrow morning ;)

Erin, I'm so sorry about your dog. It's amazing how much they become a part of our lives.

I'll have Gary turn on GMA to see if he can spot anyone he knows in the terminal. How cool is that!!

I'm sure you all got your fridget weather from us. It was born chilling here yesterday. I think today they are predicting a high of 13. :cheer2: But more snow on the way. Is it spring yet?

The temps dropped continously all day yesterday and the wind was blowing all day. Today they called off school, a bit surprised but I'm sure it has to do with the fact that they can't control what parents would send a child to school dressed in and a few minutes outside waiting for a bus in this weather is dangerous.

Tomorrow is suppose to be a heat wave of 24º. :rotfl:

Erin I am so so sorry about your dog and I the loss your entire family has suffered!

Gail - I too wondered why Diana was logged in :) thanks for the update!

Anyone catch it on GMA? If so and there is a link to it online let me know - we only watch the Today Show - ok I watch :lmao:

Well it is snowing like crazy again here in the Land of Lincoln! I hope you dont get the snow tomorrow or Deanna may have another day off!

Julie, you look beautful!!!

The ultrasound went well??? pixiedust:

Steve, no snow here. :confused3 We can pass this time around.

Thanks Cindy!

Yes, the level II ultrasound and quad bloodwork went well. We had a "slight" elevated risk for downs with bloodwork, however, the U/S made the specialist and our OB feel that we didn't need any further testing - woo hoo - or reason to be concerned. Thank you for asking!

Thanks for the well wishes everyone. My FIL came by today and seems to be doing well.

Julie - you look great.

We are supposed to get DUMPED on here tonight and tomorrow. I wish they would call off work.

Julie...you look great! The first picture was taken on MY birthday!

Erin...so sorry for your loss.

The weather guy said 2-4" tomorrow. That shouldn't be enough to close the schools.............hopefully!

Julie you look great! How exciting!

I missed GMA today. I normally don't turn the tv on until evening time so it completely slipped my mind.
