Hey, I was wondering if you could help me. I am finishing writing my answers on the wildcat cheerleading packet. It says,

"List any specific dance skills that you feel might set you apart from other applicants. you will be asked to demonstrate these skills at auditions."

What do you think would be a dance skill?

That depends on what you can do.
When I was a cheerleader it was like doing a pirrouette or two, splits in the air, some basic hip hop moves (slide on the ground without lifting up your feet, not sure if that makes any sense), and just basically not looking like a retard.

Dance skills are probably like you know the basics of ballet or jazz.

hmm...well "dance moves" is pretty general....i could mean anything from ballet to hip hop. My guess would be things like spins, and leaps...but you might want to check with someone just to be sure!

I agree with splits, turns (pirouettes or chaines?), maybe scorpions or heel stretches, or jumps, toe-touch (russians) or leaps (grand jetes), or basic jazz moves: pivot turns, sha-say, ball-change, or even basic ballet: the positions 1-5, passe', releve, plie.

It probably means like gymnastic wise.
Splits, flips, toe-touches, scorpions, cartwheels, bridges, etc.

Maybe if you are a base, a back or a flyer? And probably what you can do when it comes to tumbling.

Wouldn't that mean, give examples of some pretty cool stuff you can do like if you can cartwheel, backwards flip, etc.?
