SR credit report sites

I'm wondering if anyone has any info on any offers for free trials of the sites that give you a free credit report with trial...like Privacy Matters or anything. Looking for additional infor...I'm a little leery. Thanks!

I was just about to do Privacy Matters I think there was a post here with in the last few weeks when I find it I will bump it up as I am looking for info befor I do it as well .

Ive done a few of them, including privacy matters. Theyve always credited and ive never had aproblem cancelling them. Just so you know, by retrieving your credit score it does not impact your score as an inquiry.

I don't mean to question you - but you're sure it doesn't affect your credit when you request your score?

We will probably (hopefully) be applying for a mortgage again sometime this year and I don't want this stuff to affect it!

it is against the law for a company to penalize you for checking your own score. since you are paying these companies to do it for you, it counts as you checking it yourself.

Thanks for the responses. My concern was more that the company(ies) is/are on the "up-and-up.
