Day 10 – Wednesday 21st December

This morning we had a bit of a lie in. I woke up at 6:45am. Turned on the TV, but I muted it so as not to wake the others. I watched the news with the subtitles, also looked at the WDW info channel. The plan last night was to go to Epcot today to try Soarin’ again as we were in row 3 the first time we tried it and weren’t that impressed with the ride as we could see feet dangling above us. We thought going early we might stand a chance of getting row 1.
Looking at the info on the TV Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Parade starts today at MK at 3pm its also Extra Magic Hours here tonight till 12 midnight.
I really would like to see the parade but have lots of time yet. Watching the weather its forecast sunny but chilly today temp 64!

When the others woke up I asked them what they wanted to do and a trip to the cinema was suggested. This would be good as today was our last day onsite, we check in to Cypress Pointe tomorrow, so we have to pack our things up and chill. Cheaper by the dozen 2 comes out today, we watched Cheaper by the dozen when we were over here Dec 2003 so sounded like a plan.
I also had to go back to DTD today to get some prices of some things for someone.

We thought we would get the boat from POFQ to DTD for a change.

Well we set of to catch the boat to DTD only to discover that it didn’t start running until 11am it was only 9:30am We thought that we would go and get some breakfast from the food court and re think our plans.
While DD and DH ordered some breakfast I went back to the room and got the refillable mugs for coffee and hot chocolate. DD and DH breakfast came to $13 and when I got mine it was $7
The food court was busy but bearable.

All fed and watered we chose to get the bus to DTD as it was just gone 10am. Head off over to the bus stop where we had about a 10 min wait. It was warm in the sun but the wind was cold.
The bus was going to Typhoon Lagoon before DTD and the driver asked if there was anyone going to Typhoon Lagoon today! There was and for a change they were not English! It was an American DD and her DF who were from Seattle. They were very brave!

Onto DTD where we had a walk down to West side from the Marketplace.

Stopping on the way to find the price of something for a fellow Dibber.

All done and dusted we set off for the AMC theatre. We called into the shop on the corner, I forget its name but it’s the one with all the photo memorabilia. Then we had to try a gingerbread cookie and a chocolate covered marshmallow from the Candy Cauldron. They were delicious. There was already a line forming for the AMC so I stood in it, while DD went off to look in Virgin Mega store.
It was 11:30am and the next showing of Cheaper by the dozen 2 was 1:20pm. Cost for 2 ad and 1 child was $20
We all went into Virgin Mega store to have a look around. Where does this place get its prices from? Valliant on DVD at Wal-Mart was only $19.99 in here it was $29.99
So nothing was purchased from here.
It was 12 noon and we thought we would go and sit down in the amc. We got into the theatre and it was empty. On the way in we looked at the popcorn and soda’s. For a combo 1 large soda and large popcorn was $8.50 with free refills. Once seated DH went to get above combo complete with melted butter all over the popcorn.

This was a little bit sickly after awhile. We had eaten the bag of popcorn and drank the soda before the film started so off they went to get the refill, this time without the butter, apart from being sickly, it was very messy!
The film was brilliant, thoroughly enjoyed it, will be buying this one when it comes out on DVD.
After the film finished it was 3:30pm we walked the short walk to the bus stop just next to Pleasure Island and got to bus stop no. 1. Waited about 15 min for a bus. The first call was Typhoon lagoon where there was people waiting to be picked up and yes they had been in the water, which I over heard them saying the water was heated to 87 but when you got out you froze! I bet!

First drop off was Riverside, North, East, West and South then finally French Quarter. We had parked the car near the bus stop last night so we thought we would just jump in the car and go and get what we wanted as tonight we are going to have to pack all the stuff for checking out tomorrow!

In the car and we head off to Pet Smart on the corner of JYP and Sand Lake. We just got the dogs some new collars, pink for Minnie, blue for Oscar and black for Monty. I have to take something home for them.
I am going to get them the Mickey ears tags later on in the holiday.

Next we go into Wal-Mart and come out $115 lighter; we only went in for a $20 phone card!
Thought we would just grab a McDonalds on the way home, we had Big Mac meals and DD 6 chicken Mc Nuggets. This was the first McDonald’s of the holiday, which is good going for us. $15 cost.
Back to the room where I packed my case, they were too busy lying watching TV! I then turned the laptop on and typed up today’s notes.

I remember what today was like, hubby had us out sunbathing, it was lovely in the sun, but when that wind came through it was freezing - LOL typical English :lmao:

Another busy day :)

I loved Cheaper by the Dozen 1&2!

It's always good to catch a film before it hits the UK!

Another relaxing day. I was shocked at the prices in the Virgin store too and I loved Cheaper By The Dozen 2 (and 1), nice happy family film.
