Squirts, Shirts, & Flirts...The Legend Continues (TR started 6-23)

A pre-drive trip to Olive Garden sounds like a great way to start!

One time we drove to FL to visit my wife's sister (my oldest daughter was just a baby at the time) and we inadvertently drove the whole way in one fell swoop. How does one do that, you ask? Well, we initially just wanted to get south of D.C. Then, we still felt good so kept on driving. Then, the sun was coming up and it was like "no sense getting a hotel room now". It was a major mistake. When we finally arrived, we were zombies, except for the baby who had gotten some good naps in, and my sister-in-law didn't exactly volunteer to watch the baby so we could get some sleep. Lesson learned. But your plan sounds good!

i love the soup and salad at olive garden we will fill up on that for sure.

that stinks, we did that once on the way home, everywhere my dad tried to stop with the camper was full, so we did not stop and ended up getting into indiana and he was like forget it, it was about 10 at night and he was mad so he said forget it, im driving home, we ended up getting there at like 5 in the morning, it was bad...now we make sure we have a reservation at a half way stopping point.

he even asked a guy if we could just put the camper in the parking lot of the campground and we got turned down

Ooh I love the whole "this time in 2 weeks" thing. FUN!!! I am sooo ready for this trip. School is officially out in 2 1/2 more days!!
exciting isnt it...we made parkers travel box at my parents house last night for the trip

Sounds like a great start to your trip! It is really cool that you are going to be there for 2 weeks!! :cool1:
thanks, we are ready for the vacation as well, will be a great time.

This time in 2 weeks

...we will be traveling through kentucky and tennesse into GA, travel day so alot of looking out the window, and quizing the parents on the disney trivia book...shouldnt be to hard, there are multiple choice questions so at least they have a chance.

we bunk for the night in North GA just shy of ATL...so a pretty boring day to report but getting closer to FL

This time in 2 weeks We ARRIVE

thats right, i skipped yesterdays, it was boring we were just going to be traveling...only exciting thing was we reach FL and stop to get OJ at the state line.

Now the 2 weeks from today that is exciting, we actually get on property and start the fun in WDW.

we will spend the mornign waiting for our site to be ready and hanging out at the pool and playing on the new slides, and kiddie area... well parker, candi, and nana will, me and papa (that is what parker calls them, so that is what I will refer to them in this as the rest of the way) will be setting up the trailer, once that is done, depending on time, we will hit the monorail trail to the TTC, and then to Epcot, hopefully one of those rides will be in the nose, it is a tradition for us, (anyone know if they allow the nose rides again) never really much said about them after the accident and not sure if they allow it again.

then we have dinner at the whispering canyone in WL, and prob take in a light show or go to the sing along, and head to bed at a decent time, since we hit up the parks first thing the next morning.

Hope everyone enjoyed the weather this weekend, we hit over 90 all day and it was nice, we ended up going to chicago for the day parker loved it, will update on that this week, hopefully tomorrow.

Hi Dan , your first day sounds like fun! I like the trivia idea for the way down-I might try that for our trip too. Do you pack food or stop to eat out on the trip down? We are leaving at night after we cater two weddings, so I am packing food for the way down. We will stop at places on the way home though. I like Cracker Barrel for breakfast-so that is a must. Do you take a pot of your chili maybe? By the way, your calender looks very professional. Very cool!:thumbsup2

in the past we have kinda done both, make sandwhiches or have meals that are convenient at gas fill ups and have fast food near by, my dads trailer is pretty long so to find places that he can get into easily is usually a problem.

what we are doing for this trip, we are going to use the rest parks along the highway and that way parker get run around and eat, and burn off some energy. then candi is making up some meals that we can just take out and heat up when we stop for the nights on the way down. that way we dont have to worry about cooking after a day of traveling.

i would love to take my chili, but my family is not in the mood for it during the hot summer days.

thanks, i enjoyed making the calander it was fun, and parker loves it.

Your first day sounds heavenly! Your plans are so laid back, yet fun at the same time. I'd be interested too in knowing if they allow "nose" rides again.

thanks, we like to do the things we want on vacation, but we dont kill ourselves doing them, and we always plan an off day from the parks in between.

makes it more enjoyable that way.

anyone that has been there recently know about the NOSE rides?

i know there are lurkers out there reading that know

Love your plans for the 1st day, sounds perfect for just arriving! Taking in the pool, getting setup, having a nice afternoon in the park!! Great plans!!!!

Looking forward to seeing what you'll be doing two weeks from today!!!!!

It sounds like a great arrival day! What are the camp fire sing alongs like? Do they still show a movie at night too?

My DS has a small "Cars" duffel bag that I let him fill about halfway with things he'd like to play with in the car. Then I put other things in there that I've bought like those Wonder Marker (invisible markers) coloring books. He loves those and I love that the markers don't mark on the seats of my car. :thumbsup2 Anyway, the point is....it's exciting when we get to start filling up that bag. It means we are truly getting close!

Opps, did i say we were going in the park, i meant we just take a ride on the monorail through epcot, we dont get off, we just ride the rails. the 2 week from today update is coming up shortly.

:goodvibes

they are pretty cool, there are camp fires for cooking on, they have singalong campfire songs with a person playing a instrument on the chuckwagon stage, and chip and dale come out and see the kids.

then they have a disney short cartoon (the ones from the old days) then they start the movie

thats cool, does he get little toys and treats along the way while you are traveling? or is everything in there when leave. parker will get small presents wrapped up he can open and then add to his box.

In 2 weeks from today,

We have our first full day in Disney World. Which means we have our first park day. I know that alot of people like to hit MK as there first day park, but we dont really have a first day park, we go more for what the schedule of hours the parks have.

So this day leads us to Epcot all day, we start the day out with your typical future world stuff, do a few rider switches with parker on TT and soarin.

we will prob hang around Future world until lunch and then decide if we want a country or CS in sunshine seasons or not.

We tour the countries and then for dinner we eat at Germany looking forward to this the show is pretty good and our family is german on my dads side, so we love there food, i love saurkraute so of course i am excited.

We hope to get a good spot for illuminations and try and keep parker going all day till the show time, we will also look for the a good spot if he is getting tired during the day for himto fall asleep any have a good ride, or attraction they use in epcot for kids to fall asleep

So CLose now :cool1:

As of December when we were there, no nose rides were allowed

Almost 100% positive they still are not allowed :goodvibes

well hopefully you enjoy the update i do on it when i get back, that is the restraunt the candi is looking forward to the least, shehats kraute, and not a huge fan of brats and sausages...but she should still be okay for dinner.

No, they're not. And I confess, last year after shelling out all that dough for the buffet and finding out that beer was extra (and expensive to boot) but soft drinks were included...I just went with Sprite. I may break down and have one this year though.

I have never eaten at Biergarten. I ate at a German restaurant once when I was on a high school German club field trip. It was good!

i want to get one in the collector boot mug, but the last time i saw them they were plastic boots, not even glass, so i might not get it

i forgot your meals.
