Squirts, Shirts, and Flirts, The Legend Continues 2 weeks in FW(wrap up #2 new 11-17)

All caught up again!

Your BB day looked so fun! I loved the photos!
Sounds like you are quite the exhibitionist! :lmao:
Your evening at Ohana was so nice! You are such a sweet family, you are collecting pixiedust: everywhere you go. The dinner at Ohana's has changed alot, but it looks improved over our last visit!

HI Dan! Fabulous update!! I can't wait for 'Ohana! That food looks really, really nummers!

I love Ohanas! I'm taking my hubby there in March for his first time! I hope he will love it as much as I do! Parker looked adorable in the hat!

Great updates Dan! Loved the waterfall pic of you guys!
The video of Parker tooting the horn is precious & the interaction with the captain & him getting the hat is so special.:thumbsup2 It is amazing how those little touches are what makes a Disney vacation the best.

Another awesome update....Ohana looks delicious and I can see why it was your favorite meal.

Love the family pic at the table and in front of the waterfall in the lobby.

Parker is too cute in the captain's hat....what an awesome touch of disney magic and how neat that the lady from Ohana remembered you and involved Parker in all the games.

Looking forward to more:goodvibes
have you never been there? we like to go there each trip, it is really a good meal, with good entertainment. allthough after this trip we are adding the luau to each trip as well, great show and great food as well.

she does really good at her job. i have seen alot of people comment on her in other TR's as well.

Great updates Dan! Wow, 2 chapters for the price of 1!

Yeah, I saw that Bud Light Lime....I also noticed that your Dad opted for something else.

That was quite a tally for you at Ohana. I'm impressed! I love those potstickers, and everything else.

Wow, that's great that Parker has gotten a lot of personal attention, from the Ohana entertainer lady (somebody has got to find out her name!) and from the boat captian. If you only had that BB Photopass person there, the other kids would really have wondered who this celebrity kid was.

He is so cute. Do you have any pictures of him where he's not smiling from ear to ear?
yep he went for the straight miller lite. the ones that they sell in the stores just arnt the same, i havent found a pot sticker to rival those yet.

her name is lipoa (i think that is what her name tag says anyway)

well with me and my dad taking pictures we look like the papparazi snapping pics of him.

nope he is pretty much smiling all day.

little stinker got my personality.
:3dglasses

great update

Ohanas looked like a lot of fun. I didnt realize they had nugget for the kid. Maybe next year we will try and get a ressie at Ohanas, as chicken nuggest I know Trent will eat

I seen that lady doing all the entertainment in so many people's TR. She seems like a real nice lady

What an awesome boat captain you had. You can tell he really loves his job :goodvibes
they dont advertise them on the menu, the waiter just asked us what he wanted, he said you name...so i think they had hotdogs, burgers all that kind of stuff...but we knew we would be safe with thenuggests.

she is really good and we love her shows.

yeah he was having a great time telling us all the stuff, and you could really tell he actually enjoyed it each day, some of the workers seem crabby like it is a choir where others embrase it and realized im working at disney when others vacation here, im gonna have fun each day.

Great Updates Dan !!I had a great experience at Kouzzinas with the Waiter he was awesome , know ing I was with Jordan ya know we were chatting to the staff !!!:rotfl2:

Thanks for everyones input on the waterpsrks !!I think we;ll rent a small locker for out valuables and put our towels From the resort on a chair or 2

a good waiter/waitress does make a huge difference while dinning.

good i think the small locker will suit you just fine, and glad i could help with that.

Unfortunately the women who wear the white tank tops with no bra underneath at our pool are never the ones you want to see.:scared1:
I actually had to have a pretty lengthy conversation with one woman trying to tactfully explain that her top was see through and because of that she could not stay, dressed that way. :rolleyes1
i see i see, i saw a few questionable ones in chicago this weekend, but my favorite was the guy wearing the red speedo that looked like it could have been used as a parachute to stop the plans that were flying in the air show.

Great update. I love talking to the drivers and such. I am fascinated by Disney Transportation and how they manage to move that many people every day. While waiting on the bus to get clearance to leave one of the parks, I asked and he gave me the rundown of how they are on demand for openings and closings and mid morning go to a shuttle service when demand is not high.

yeah we learned a few other things about the new system of the sayings on the front of the busses but that is for later on in the TR.

Oooooh, Ohana! I can't wait to go there. The food looks better than I remember. I must've ate about 15 shrimp the last time I was there. SO good!

I love the picture of Parker and the boat captain, too cute! I like talking to the CMs. When I stayed at WL last year, I bumped into Ranger Stan outside and was talking to him for about 20 min. Great guy!
the shrimp was very good, i was just getting so full from the pot stickers and noodles i did not have enough room for more....next time i will skipthe salad and the rolls and go straight to the main food.

i heard about that ranger a few times, i would like to meet him sometime.

Oh and why didn't anyone try a Lapu Lapu? They're the best!

well i asked candi if she wanted to, and she said no she wanted to try the other drink, we tried to make them at home before and i think i made them to strong so that might have turned her off them as well.

Looks like you had a wonderful dinner. The pictures look very yummy. That was so sweet of the boat captain to give Parker his hat. Being a mom I teared up a little bit.
hope you didnt read that while hungry cause those pictures are so yummy you want to eat em.

hope you had a kleenex close by, he got alot of special moments this trip, and we will remember them all.

I love Ohana's. That lady with the leis is so good at her job. She was great with our group at well. Parker looks so cute in the boat captain hat. The family picture in front of the waterfall is great. I think I could eat just noodles and potstickers there, they are so good!
i hope she stays around and is there when we keep coming back she helps make the evening.

that would make a good meal noodles and potstickers, iwould order it for sure.

Parker in the hat is just too adorable! He really looked like he enjoyed his boat trip that evening.

You're right...we did have close to the same seats as you at 'Ohana! I sooooo enjoyed the food there this time. Bryan and I still talk about how good it was. That lady is personality plus...it's a good thing you didn't let it slip that you're from somewhere in Indiana! She's quite the Michael Jackson fan, and went nuts when DMIL mentioned that she went to high school in Gary! :rotfl:

he loved the boat rides, heck he loved all disney transportation.

i know if she found out how close we lived to his house where he grew up, she would flip.

I was 2 updates behind.

Great pictures at BB. Parker is just too cute. I can't believe how much he loves the water. All 3 of mine had a healthy fear of the water. Loved your "just saying" remarks. I would like to think I don't end up as any of your comments some day.

Parker just seems to attract so much attentions from the CMs. He is a magnet for magic. His excitement is infectious, especially in the boat video. The boat captain hat is a special touch.

dont worry, you wont end up as one of my comments, i know what you look like so it wont be a just sayin it would be a :sad2: why oh why did she do that segment.
:rotfl2:

it is his charming good looks that gets em every time.
;)
All caught up again!

yep thats me.
:lmao:

thanks, we were happy it was such a good vacation for all of us, and all the extra things were very nice perks.

it has changed, but it is good, i think better than in the past food wise.

HI Dan! Fabulous update!! I can't wait for 'Ohana! That food looks really, really nummers!
it was really "nummers" what is that word?

:upsidedow

oh i think i get it, like num nums, nummers...

duh dan

I love Ohanas! I'm taking my hubby there in March for his first time! I hope he will love it as much as I do! Parker looked adorable in the hat!
im sure he will not much to hate there, even if you dont like the other food, the meats they have are really good, so he can fill up on those...who doesnt like steak and chicken.

Great updates Dan! Loved the waterfall pic of you guys!
The video of Parker tooting the horn is precious & the interaction with the captain & him getting the hat is so special.:thumbsup2 It is amazing how those little touches are what makes a Disney vacation the best.

i love his laugh in that video, it is good.

yep and they are ones we will remember for a long time.

Ohhhh the stories I could tell. I have been around pools for a while now ( hence the screen name) and I have seen a lot.
Never worked at a pool but when I was in my first couple years of college I worked in a grocery store that was on the way to the beach, so we got a lot of beach traffic. That was good for some memorable stuff also, some that would draw a crowd of coworkers from the back of the store, and some you wished you never saw! Two of the (unfortunately) memorable ones were the VERY pregnant lady who came in wearing a tank top and gym shorts (PE type, not today's baggy/super long variety) that were much too small so the waist of the shorts was way too low and the tank top didn't come down nearly far enough! The other was the mom who "chose to feed her child naturally" who came in wearing a tank top with nothing underneath. The dried and wet circles of various sizes were oh so attractive.....

Chapter 12. Dinner with old friends.
When I first read this I just KNEW you were meeting the glennbo family to eat again (well, Judy and the kids would be "young" friends but you know what I mean ;) )
for those of you who have never seen the docks at FW marina here is a better view of them.

DSC01632.jpg
That picture brings back memories. When we stayed in the cabins years ago we took most of our trips on the boats instead of the buses. A much better mode de transportation!
and me and papa opted for the beers, hey glenn that bud light lime looks pretty good huh?
DSC00926.jpg
At first glance I thought your Mom was getting a beer poured down the front of her sundress!!! :confused3
pretty soon after our plate of pot stickers and wings arrived for us to scarf down, the pot stickers were stacked up pretty good at least 20 on there, which i knew would not be a problem, i was going to eat all of them and have no fuss about trying.
DSC00927.jpg
That looks great! We have only done breakfast at Ohana but I'm thinking we need to do dinner sometime really soon!!!:thumbsup2
...in case anyone was interested i kept count of the meal tally, it was 10 pot stickers, 4 wings, salad, 4 servings of noodles and brocoli, 6 shrimps, 5 steaks, 4 chickens, 3 cokes, after my 1 bud, and 1 pork, (for desert i had the pear tree.)
I hope they brought a cart to roll you out of there with..... :rolleyes1
after putting his coconut away she called that she was going to do another one, so he of course got called by her and told to come and do another race with her.
It was great that Parker got all of this personal attention, but I'm guessing calling him twice was her feeble attempt to make her prediction of "twins" come true, at least in her mind....
...well our hawaiian lady friend came over to the table and said she had some lays for us...well me and dad were the only ones there, so she gave us each a bunch and then gave us both kisses on the check.
DSC01667.jpg
While the kittens are away, the mice will play. :rotfl2:
and i find well not find i knew it was from trips past, but i take a picture of my hidden mickey...im up to 2 now for the trip.

DSC00944.jpg
An oldie but a goodie!!!
we road the boat back to the FW with a stop at WL first, well on the leg from cont. to WL parker wanted to sit up front by the captain, so we did and he gave parker some trading cards.
he let him toot the horn at the WL as well.
as we pulled into the dock for our camp ground he was messing around in his bag after we docked and wouldnt let go and open the gate for anyone to get off. he pulled out a captains hat and gave it to parker and told him he was now an official disney captain.
Ah to be young again....that kid really racks up!!! :sad2:
Lesson learned: dont be grumpy to workers, have fun at disney, we always talk to the CM's but found that this trip, they were extra talkative like you could tell that most people dont talk to them. Alot of people that visit just need to slow down, have fun, engage conversation with workers and be nice to those that work hard to make sure you have a good time. It seemed like this trip, that other guests were alot crabbier than they used to be, and you could tell that the CM's really apreciated it when we talked with them.
A very good lesson learned. We always receive a great reward when we take time to interact with the CMs. I try to do it often myself! :)
when we got back we got parker in bed, and we went for a run, i through my suit on and ended up running by the pool and jumping in to cool off a little before heading back to the camper to shower and go to bed.
Suit? Why start dressing up now when you go out at night??? Surely you didn't think any buses were going to come by while you were out did ya??? :lmao:
the lady laughed when i finally got out and walked over
Okay, I guess it's a good thing you put the suit on...
:rolleyes1
Wow, that's great that Parker has gotten a lot of personal attention, from the Ohana entertainer lady (somebody has got to find out her name!) and from the boat captian. If you only had that BB Photopass person there, the other kids would really have wondered who this celebrity kid was.

You mean that still have Candi in them??? :rotfl2:

im sure you were one of the good workers who stayed in the back and didnt runout to check on the produce. i have so many jokes as to how they called you guys up front when the ladies came in but i think ill keep them for now.

i tricked you up a little, old ohana friends.
not OLD MAN GLENNBO

the boats are very easy and pretty quick actually to get where you need.

At first glance I thought your Mom was getting a beer poured down the front of her sundress!!! :confused3
it does kind of look like that.

That looks great! We have only done breakfast at Ohana but I'm thinking we need to do dinner sometime really soon!!!:thumbsup2

you will really enjoy it im sure.

that could be, i keep telling candi she will have twins next time and she will look like a giant beach ball walking around.

who us, we never get in trouble.

:thumbsup2

it is also fun to learn things from them that arnt always knows out in the public, kinda like you are learning secret spy stuff.
:tiptoe:

:rolleyes1

i know but i didnt want to hurt myself since we were running first then swimming, you know tripping hazard and stuff.
:lmao: sorry i had to go there.

haha good call marv, catching glenn up a little.

Actually, very few of the sights got by me. I was responsible for the aisle that had the baby food and diapers.....

Definitely one of the best parts! :thumbsup2

Yeah cause if you were to trip AND land flat enough, it could end up pretty painful!

i see i see, i saw a few questionable ones in chicago this weekend, but my favorite was the guy wearing the red speedo that looked like it could have been used as a parachute to stop the plans that were flying in the air show.

:rotfl2::rotfl2: i know what you mean.:rotfl2:

yeah we learned a few other things about the new system of the sayings on the front of the busses but that is for later on in the TR.

I do have a picture of one of those secret code busses.

That was good for some memorable stuff also, some that would draw a crowd of coworkers from the back of the store, and some you wished you never saw! You must have gotten an eyeful!!!! Hope it did not cause any permanent eyesight problems.:rotfl2::rotfl2:
We get the very pregnant moms in very belly revealing bikinis. In fact some of them try to get away with what they wore prepregnancy so I don't have to tell you that many of them were a bit overexposed.

On a positive note, my male guards like to work our bimonthly parent and tot mornings. We get many moms of toddlers and my guys are paying very good attention to make sure sure the moms don't drown.:rotfl2:

Yeah cause if you were to trip AND land flat enough, it could end up pretty painful!
very funny mister

this can be a problem sometimes.

i bet it looks really funny when they try and float on there backs and end up flipping over from being top heavy.
:rotfl:

ohh i bet they just hate working that event.
:rolleyes1

u can tell the lifeguards at our city pool hate the moms that bring the little ones there as well.
;)

I think he retired late last year, unless he changed his plans.
