Squirts, Shirts, and Flirts, The Legend Continues 2 weeks in FW(wrap up #2 new 11-17)

I'm so jealous about your Hawaii trip!

Disney just released the point requirements to stay at the new DVC resort they're building. It's expensive, as we expected, but may be doable. Judy definitely wants to go there sometime.

Dan, I just started the TR thread. The link is in my sig. Thought you might like to check it out, seeing how you might make an appearance along the way.

Okay. I have now read both your updates...

that pimple looks like a blackhead I had on my.......

Hawaii...so is DL in your plans?

OMG! I think you guys could win the award for the cutest family EVER!! Of course, next to mine. Can't wait to read more!

Ooooh, Hawaii....Now I'm jealous! Congratulations! :goodvibes Hope you plan on sharing picutres, since it'll be a while until I get there...

Hawaii.........very cool! :goodvibes It's such a beautiful place to visit! Which island are you staying on?
we are going to be on maui, on the west side for the first week, and i think her sister lives on the north side, up the mountains a little for the second.

Fantastic on Hawaii!!!!!! Which island will you be on? My wife and I, and our daughter went to Maui in 2007 and I have to admit it was the one trip that I absolutely did not want to go home from. I told my wife I would sell our house in MA and live in a box there. It is absolutely heaven on earth!!!!
same island as you maui, i am excited, it will fun to see alot of the stuff, there but it will also be a relaxing vacation, not go go go like a disney trip...me and her dad usually start off our mornings early by the pool when we go somewhere, or course with a beverage.:thumbsup2

also i think this is your first post onthis TR :welcome: if it is, correct me if im wrong.:headache:

Can't wait to read about camping at Disney! We're just now experimenting with camping to see if we like it well enough to invest in a self contained camper kind of setup. We have a popup right now and have used it once. We enjoyed ourselves and are going to reserve a spot at another campground recommended by my camping crazed cousins. I don't think I want to fool with a popup at Disney though. I'll take a rig like yours any day! (Minus the tire pimple deal of course.)

:welcome: i grew up camping and loved it as a kid, now we love it as a family, it is great to take your kids to see things and experience the outdoors...we also have a pop right now, that camper we took is my dads, in two years im looking to upgrade our model to a little bigger one. but that means i have to (get to) by a bigger truck then.:yay:

That sounds awesome. Hawaii looks so beautiful

That is great that her parents are going to take Parker for a few days so u can get some alone time...Wonder if you will come home with a surprise?

Sorry had to go there...wouldn't be sharky, if I did not

Can't wait to read your next update :surfweb:
of course i would be upset if you did not make the comment sharky, where others think it, sharky types it.:thumbsup2

we are hoping for her to be pregnant even before we go, so we shall see.

Ok I'm in too Dan!!!! :cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:

Loved the :tigger: call.....so cute.

I am so glad you guys stopped & that tire didn't blow while you were driving.:scared1:

Eventful first day!!!!!

Lucky you on Hawaii...you have great parents & in-laws taking you on trips. I love Hawaii....I've been 3 times. Eric has never been so that is on our to do list. Which island are you visiting?
:welcome: glad you are here, they are pretty cool calls, the mickey one on arrival to WDW was really cute as well, not sure if i got a video of that one or not.

yes we do both have great parents who like to spoil us. we are going to be on maui, sounds like a good place to take him for your next anniversary.

Waiting for more !!!!
okay rose, i will work onit and hope to have another up today.

that pimple looks like a blackhead I had on my earlobe
there now it showed up.

as far as disneyland, i hope so, i am going to look into all the options for traveling home and if we can swing in there for a few days on the way home.

OMG! I think you guys could win the award for the cutest family EVER!! Of course, next to mine. Can't wait to read more!
:welcome: and thanks i cant take all the credit for parkers cutness my wife keeps telling me half of his looks came from her.
:confused3

if you wanted to save money, you can crash at our place or even my parents have a guest room

Chapter 1. On the Road again.

Well it would take alot on this day of traveling to top the first day, lets see if we can find anything shall we.

Up and at em early morning, left about 7:00, maybe 30 minutes later, we were crossing over into Kentucky, knocked Indiana out of there, and one state closer to FL.
DSC00658.jpg

exciting, but nope

How about parker getting another one of his "gifts to entertain him in the truck" gifts.
DSC00661.jpg

Nope

okay, then lets try,
stopping at a rest park in Kentucky, and watching some tractors use some rakers to get the hay ready to bail up.

DSC01179.jpg

nope,
running around the rest park
DSC01181.jpg

DSC00664.jpg

well that burned off some energy but not that exciting.

uhh a nap after running around the rest park.
DSC00672.jpg

it was nice but nope.

a short while later we entered Tennessee, see yah kentucky.
DSC00673.jpg

nope not that exciting, but seeing the giant black bear running up to the highway, then turning around when we got close and run back into the woods right after i put the camera away, now that was exciting.

lesson learned: have camera handy and not put back away during road trip, things drive by fast and you have to be ready to take a picture at moments notice.

reason why not a few minutes later we saw alady drive by with a pipe stand built into her front seat of her pinto and a giant green parrot perched atop it, looking out the window, just popping on the front seat.
:scared1:

my dad tried to catch back up with her, but kinda hard to do when you are pulling the weight we had.

beautiful mountain views in tennesee,
DSC00677.jpg

pretty good.

there was a great rest park/welcome center when we got into tennesse that we had lunch at...nothing fancy, chicken salad, and chips.
DSC01187.jpg

DSC01191.jpg

parker did find a little girl to flirt with after he ate dinner, my boy did good,
he picked one that was older than him, from a different state, and he could leave with his mommy whenever he wanted to hit the road again.
DSC01193.jpg

just kidding

buzz lightyear being the space ranger that he is, had to help papa navigate our vehicle through the mountain terrain.
DSC01202.jpg

we stopped about 30 minutes north of Atlanta so we would not get hit by the friday night rush our traffic coming into and out of the city, it was about 4:00 when we stopped.
they had a pool so we took advantage of that letting parker have some fun before dinner.

DSC01222.jpg

DSC01224.jpg

he really enjoyed jumping into the pool
DSC01228.jpg

my aunt, (my dads oldest sister) lives in marrietta GA, so she came up to visit for a while and have dinner with us. she is quite the talker though so my dad had to kick her out about 9 so we could get to bed for an early rise and travel day again.

parker played well with her, but had enough so he went and played in the back room where we slept with mama.
DSC01235.jpg

so it was a travel day, not as eventful as the first, but still had its highlights, like a black bear, a parrot pooping in a car, and some pool time.

going to work on uploading the Next day pics right now, and hope to have another chapter in shortly.

if you wanted to save money, you can crash at our place or even my parents have a guest room

thanks jordan i will keep that in mind and talk to candi about it. u live pretty close to the attractions dont you?

my great uncle lived in orange county about 10 minutes from DL

at least i think it is called orange county?

I forget you can travel through more than one state in a day. If you were to drive from the mexican/ca border to the ca/oregon border, it would be a 14-15 hour drive assuming you never hit traffic.

What beautiful green countryside.....

Too bad about the parrot...does she love her parrot THAT much? apparently....

Hey there!
I've been lurking (which sounds creepy!) on your other TRs and I must say I really enjoy them. You have a beautiful family!

I wanted to respond to a story you told on your Anniversary TR about a poor experience you had with a rude CM at the Grand Floridian. I actually *did* stay at the GF last summer, and after our original booking, added an extra night. By then, the deluxe funds had run out, so we spent our last night at CSR. When I went to the front desk to arrange for our luggage to be moved, I had a very similar experience to the one you and your DW had! I told the CM that I needed my luggage moved and when he asked where, and I told him CSR, the rolled his eyes, whistled and said "Ohhhh....." in a very snarky manner. I wonder if it was the same guy?

I do love the GF, and would jump at any opportunity to stay there again, but my one complaint was that several staff members were a little full of themselves.

Anyway, looking forward to hearing more about your most recent trip!

yeah that second day was nice, knocking off IN, then KY, then TN, and getting into GA...CA is a long state i would have to drive it all, but i bet there are bunch of great sites along the way, especially if you go up the coast

i guess she does love it that much, cool to take it with you, but i would have it in a cage so it cant get all over.

:welcome: dont worry about being creppy, i think there are alot of people that lurk, since we are at about post 70 and over 1300 page views, but thats fine, glad you responded, feel free to keep joining in the fun.

sorry to hear about your experience...i bet it was the same guy, it is wrong that they think just cause they "work" there they are better than people, they prob could not even aford to stay there if it were not for there CM discounts.

we had another little one but not with a CM this trip at the GF that happened our last day. we were walking around the top level after dinner, and the band was orchestra was playing, and parker started dancing around candi, well an older couple was walking by the wife was smiling at parker thinking it was very cute he was enjoying himself, the husband rolled his eyes and you could tell the look on his face, we were not being civilized enough for him in the way my 2 year old was acting...

oh well some people are who they are and wont change, those are the ones you kill with kindness and tell them to have a great day.

and dont be shy about responding to the report.
:thumbsup2

Thanks for the welcome!

A lot of people consider the Grand to be stuffy, but you just have to walk around like you absolutely, without a shadow of a doubt belong there. That's what we did! :cool2:

It would be cool to see a black bear. At least from that distance anyway! The lady with the parrot, sounds pretty strange. I wonder if she takes it everywhere?:confused3 It is nice that you got to visit with your aunt along the way.

Hi! I saw your link on Kimmy's PTR and thought I'd check your TR out. I'm loving it so far. Road trips are always...interesting. :) Your son is adorable! Looking forward to reading more.

Joining in for the TR! Parker has gotten big and still as cute as ever! Can't wait to see how much flirting he did this trip!

that is true, stick the nose up high and walk on your toes.

i would like to stay there sometime, but would rather stay at a cheaper on and stay longer.

not sure, would be kinda tough to leave them in the car when you get places, cant really crack the window much with a fear they could squeeze out and escape.

hope we can keep everyones interest all the way through.

:welcome: as well, glad to have you around.

well if you remember him rubbing the leg of the cheerleader on the last trip...someones leg got rubbed this trip but was it parkers? and it was not rubbed by a member of our family?

:rolleyes1

there is an update on the previous page as well

Chapter 2. Are they still traveling?

Why yes yes we are still traveling down.

I have to explain why it took so long to travel down.

we left when my mom got out of school on thursday, so that day was almost over, which got us to southern indiana.

next day we traveled to north of ATL, which my dad hates to drive through during rush hour, so that caused us to pit stop north of ATL to avoid that

This travel day, takes us through GA and into FL, but will we make it to Disney today?

I love taking the west bypass around ATL, and going by the airport, i love airports, i could watch planes take off and land all day long, the cool thing is you go under part of the airport when traveling this route.

we are about to go under it here.
DSC00688.jpg

pretty soon we had found ourself getting up to macon GA and taking a leg break to run them around to get the blood flowing again, help parker burn off some energy.
DSC01242.jpg

DSC00692.jpg

just before we entered FL we stopped for gas and i noticed a little farm stand across the street, so i ran over to pick up some fresh picked GA peaches..boy where they good, very good and juicy.
DSC00695.jpg

not long after we are entereing FL and parker is knocked out so we are not going to stop to get the OJ, and good thing, because it started to pour very hard...

lesson learned: dont let wife take pictures of a moving welcome to state sign

DSC00696.jpg

it had been raining so hard for those ten minutes that we entered FL that the roads were flooded, check out the water spray that the truck was causing.
DSC00698.jpg

i tried to get a good video and this is the best i could get, it was much bigger before this one, but you can see what it looked like...every car was doing this, and some of the semis were spraying water into the trees off the road about 30 feet away, it looked like a bunch of jet skis spraying water everywhere.

here is a movie of it.

we arrived at our destination shortly after, which was about 70 miles north of Disney,

reason we did not continue on, is my dad hates to pull into the campground late in the afternoon, even though it was only 3ish, he likes to get there early to have a full day and pick out his site before they hand them out to other campers checking in, there are only so many sites he can fit the trailer in good.

so while the camper was cooling down from the travel day, parker had his popsicle before swimming. and candi does have something on in the background she has her bathing suit bottoms on
DSC01260.jpg

and then we all enjoyed the pool.
DSC01273.jpg

after swimming and dinner, we went to the campground rec center to enjoy some games, they had the cool shuffle board game which was alot of fun.
DSC01293.jpg

parker had fun playing pool with grandpa.
DSC01298.jpg

you will notice my dancing skills while playing ping pong with him, well that is because i found the switch that turned on the disco ball above my head, which i turned on and tried to get parker to dance which he just looked at me and laughed.
DSC01303.jpg

then i got serious turned off the disco and beat my dad at some ping pong.
DSC01305.jpg

we did our run again this day, you can kind of make out candi in the middle with the green shirt on.
DSC01314.jpg

parker got excited and ran to her and while he was almost to her about 10 feet away he tripped over his shoes and fell and skinned his little knees some, they did not bleed much but enough to cause some tears.

DSC01318.jpg

so once again not very eventful today, we were all very anxious to get there the next morning so we went to bed at a decent hour and to leave early the next morning.

hope everyone has a good weekend, and looks forward to the next chapter of our arrival and finally making it on property.
