Squeaker shoes - has anyone ever seen them?!?!

I had never heard of these shoes until a month ago I saw a little boy wearing them and commented that you could hear him if he walks away from his parents. His parents heard me and said that they were recommended by their doctor because the little boy doesn't walk on his heels. It encourages his to walk flat-footed(sp?) They weren't too loud but then again we were outside in a baseball field.

Does anyone suggest a place to get them? My son is starting to walk on his tip toes because of tightness in his ankles/calves and I am wondering if these will help him want to try to walk flat footed? (he is under the care of an otho and a PT)

They helped my DD to walk flat footed. She doesn't walk on her tippy toes nearly as much. She is starting to walk on them again alot because she doesn't have the shoes anymore. I guess it doesn't really fix anything. It just makes them want to hear the squeaks.
