For the square foot space that is listed for the rooms, for Verandas, does that include the veranda itself? I'm trying to determine if a 200 Sq. ft. Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom is really the same amount of space as the 245 Sq. ft. Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah.

Thanks!

I believe it does include the verandah area.

Me three.... another reason why I like Deck 2 Oceanviews.... I say it's like a climate controlled verandah.

I did a bit of digging on this and PrincessShmoo is right, square footage does include the verandah area. I was trying to figure out if an oceanview for our Alaska cruise would seem small to our family as we usually book a verandah room.

The square footage does include the verandah. When you select a stateroom while booking, you'll see the phrase "including verandah" after the square footage information. They of course vary in size, but the typical ones along the side of the ship are perhaps 53sf, so subtract that to find the interior dimensions.

I suspect Disney does it that way to make them look as big as possible, plus not highlighting that the interior space is smaller than the less expensive ocean view next door!
