Spur of the moment trip to Disneyland in 2 weeks... help!

My husband and I are making a spur of the moment trip to see his ill father for his last Christmas, and we're leaving in 2 weeks. His dad is in Yuma, and since we'll be about 4 hours away, we'd like to take our kids to Disneyland for a day to make it a little more fun of a trip.

The problem? We just decided this today, and we will only have 1 day to spend at the park. We're (sadly) going to skip the California Adventure park, and the Cars area because I don't think we can do it all in one day.

So, what do I need to know, where do I start, are there any exciting meal kinds of things I can do with them on such short notice? I know about the pins, and am hoping to order some to get here before we leave. What else?

I appreciate any help you can give!

My boys are 7, 4, and almost 3 (b-day is 12/23).

Welcome to the boards. Start with the sticky posts at the top, they have tons of great advice and everything you will want to know most likely. After that if you have questions about a specific area search for that topic- again you will find dozens of posts to answer your questions. Finally- go read all the posts that are on the front two pages unless they are specifically not related to you and your trip. You will need to set aside some time to read it all- but it should make you feel confident by the time you are done. Then if you still have questions- come ask away! People will gladly help with specific areas, but it is easier if you read all the general info first.

I think if you only have one day, it's a really good decision to just stick with one park.
