Today we are moving to Beach Club Villas (yippee!) which means we have to pack and transfer luggage (boo). Lucky for me, I get to check in at BCV and leave Moose to deal with the 4 princesses and their baggage.
I took a cab to Beach Club and checked us in, no problems and then headed out to catch the bus to Animal Kingdom. Moose called me several times. He said he was worried about me. I think he was just trying to figure out how much longer his solitary princess duty was going to last. I caught up with them in Dinoland. We decided to hang around and wait to see Lucky the Dinosaur, very cool, and then went to Tarzan Rocks. The teenagers traveling with us were entranced by Tarzan, Mmmm .Tarzan does rock.
Next we rode Safari, and Dinosaur and then sprinted over to see Bugs Life. As we were getting in line for Bugs Life, two teens try to cut in line in front of us. I blocked them with my stroller and one of them said something in Spanish which obviously meant can we get in front of you? Then I noticed the t-shirts. There were 4 or 5 yellow t-shirts in front of me and two yellow t-shirts who wanted to pass. I looked back at them, thinking, sure you can go with your group, and then I saw, off in the distance, a swarm of at least 30 more yellow shirts buzzing towards the bugs life entrance.
The words came out without any thought, as if I were possessed, NO! Not that many, and I continued into the line. The family behind me followed us too, laughing at my audacity. I have at this point totally embarrassed the other 10 people with me.
Now I notice the yellow flag bearing tour guide with the handful of yellow shirts in front of us. She is not happy, but will not look directly at me. I know she speaks English, so I continue, with a big smile, No worries, We are all going in the same theater, its all good.
My husband has started whispering frantically in my ear, please dont make a scene Too late. The family behind us, hearing me say no worries, chimes in with a song. Dont worry, about a thing, cause every little things gonna be alright ..
The humor in this scene only becomes apparent later when I see flocks of green, red and blue t-shirts singing and clapping in every other line Im in for the rest of the week.
Now my husbands whispers are getting louder, Look, they want to let us pass in front of them. Ummm, not yet, this is too much fun. One more chorus of Dont worry first. As the line ahead of us moves, the yellow shirts step to the side with bewildered looks on their faces and we all march past them, smiling and singing. Ok, maybe it was just me singing. No worries.
After that excitement and lunch at Tusker House, we went to get in line for Lion King early. As we chatted with a CM standing outside, she offered us VIP seating. Unbelievable. We were in the first two rows. Moose got picked to make the warthog sound, Grumpy got picked to help with teaching the hand motions, and the rest of our kids got to be in the little kid parade. When Lion King was over, we left and went to check out our new rooms at Beach Club.
Definitely a magical day.
