Springtime is the Best Time- Flower & Garden, a taste of Dapper Days and Earth Day -April 2024

I was the only one who unpacked. I like to get comfortable and be able to find my stuff when I get ready. I hang up my outfits, put my other clothes in a drawer and set my bathroom stuff up.
Finally joining in!! First - what a horrible travel day. Southwest is becoming more and more of a problem. Which is terrible. At least now I'm close enough to drive!

And also yes to unpacking!!! I'm the same way. I want to get my clothes put away and all my stuff set up so I can get at it easily every day. Plus, then as I settle in each night, I can pack up my dirty clothes so it doesn't take extra time the night before I leave to pack!

I will be there 5/22-5/26, I might stay until 5/27.
I am staying at CBR and on 5/24 I planned on AK. I could head over to US/IOA my AP will still be good at Uni. Let me know what you all decide to do on 5/24.
We could meet up if it works out! I’m hoping to meet up with Molly and Jake as well,
Wait - Caroline - I check in on 5/26. If you are around (or stay until the 27th) I'd love to meet up and give you a big ol' Minnesota hug!

Well we're 23 sleeps away for our next trip. I'm excited to see Danielle in the flesh and to experience Epic park.
Yay! EPIC looks so awesome!

I'm just missing you in July! My agency always has trainings in July for some reason...last year I thought I would die walking around in the heat, but so be it. This year we'll be at Universal 7/23-27 and I figured since I'll be down there anyway I made a DVC reservation for WDW 7/20-23 because I can't be that close and not visit WDW! Plus, I am excited about that nighttime parade!

I love that Danielle has a duck family she takes care of. On a trip a long time ago (pre-Covid), 2 friends and I started making up "types of ducks" because people seem so fascinated with them. So, if we were in Magic Kingdom and saw a duck, we would loudly start talking about the very rare and special Magic Kingdom duck to see how many people would gather and start taking pictures. One time, we were on the safari and seated right behind the driver. When we got to the flamingo pond, there were, of course, ducks in it. Scotty said something about the exceedingly rare Animal Kingdom Flamingo duck. People behind us got super excited and started snapping pictures and talking about seeing the rare duck. Meanwhile, the driver cracked up laughing. At the end of the ride, he asked us about the duck name. We explained that we did that with every duck we saw in Disney and he laughed again and wished us luck.

You'll be at WDW in July, and I'll be in NOLA!! The exact same week! :upsidedow It's also a ridiculously hot humid time to visit there, but it's the week Jimmy is away at camp, so Rob and I are headed down ourselves!

We've done the Behind the Seeds tour, but it's been a few years. We really enjoyed it and found it very interesting. I also had a fun time waving to people on the ride while we were walking through the greenhouses. Rob made fun of me, but that part made me really happy LOL.

I am an easy peasy get ready person. It usually takes me less than 15 minutes.

I wish I could do that.

Thanks for the great tips about Commissary Lane and holding back before the transport ship. I will definitely remember that.

I hope they still work when you get back down there.

t. I love Studios in the morning and it looks like you got a lot done. It's nice to round out the morning with treats from the Trolley Car Cafe and seeing some shows. I am always a sucker for the Carrot Cake Cookie!

I love the Carrot Cake Cookie too. I didn't pick it up right then, but I did before we left the park.

So exciting! So do you find the Orlando heat worse than Baton Rouge heat?

I think they are about the same, but I'm not outside in the Baton Rouge heat.

I actually love the heat but I do plan on rest time from 1 until about 5 each day during the summer months.

The 2 days I'll be working 1/2 day I plan on getting up for rope drop then being back at the Hilton for around 1 and working until 5:30 before heading back out for some nighttime entertainment. I will be spending the worst of the head indoors.

Both those resorts are great but CBR does have the advantage of the Skyliner.

I have to agree there.

Have you had a chance to see the jazz band at Scat Cats? I really enjoyed them last summer. Plus having Beignets while listening to music is always good! :)

Many years ago I heard the jazz bank but only in passing. I saw some of Yeahaa Bob but from outside the bar. My goal is to make it inside the bar to see him. He won't be there when I'm at Riverside in May, but he should be during our July trip.

:welcome: Stacey and thanks for joining in!

We only fly occasionally. We're close enough to drive too. We'll be driving for the next 2 trips.

Another unpacker!!! I like the organization too and not having to dig for what I need.

Wait - your daughter has a new home park?? What is she doing?

Her new park is Epcot. She's part of the Festivals team and so far loves it. She does do a lot of walking again like she did during her CP.

Bummer that we'll just miss being there at the same time. Taking some time in Disney is perfectly understandable. The nighttime parade is a must for that trip.

:rotfl2:

I love that y'all did this. I will be looking at all ducks differently from now on.

Danielle sent up a baby bunny and mother picture yesterday she saw by Test Track. They were so cute.

NOOOOO. We'll miss each other again.

New Orleans Hot is worse than Baton Rouge Hot. Bless you!

I think I would wave too. If we do it and I see people I will wave as I think about Jackie.
