Spring Training

I recently got to see the New York Yankees get there behinds handed to them by the Detroit Tigers. I also had the privilage of attending a Legends game were I got to see a lot of older retired greats play. In years past I have seen the Braves, the Phillies, The Royals, and the Astros all play. Being in Central FL, it is easy for me to see the Grapfruit League games.

Has anyone else been to any spring training games. I enjoy them MUCH more than actual season games. More relaxed and intimate due to a smaller field.

Interested in anyone elses opinions.

I went to Disney in March of 2001 and 02 with my softball team. We played a few games at the Wide World of Sports and would always pass the Atlanta Braves while they were practicing which was pretty neat. We were supposed to see one of their games the day we arrived, but we ended up not going because we didn't have enough time.

I went to a Phillies game a couple of weeks ago at their new Stadium (Clearwater). They played the Devil Rays. Their stadium is nice, I enjoyed the game!

I would love to go to Legends to see a game and I heard the Dodgers stadium in Vero Beach was nice too.

Legends field is OK....just real high when it comes to securtity. I really liked the new phillies stadium. I had seatsright behind home plate. It was great

Even better than spring training games are the lower leagues games. I used to love going to the Daytona Cubs games and watching those kids play. These are the players who have to prove themselves to make it to the big leagues. In my opinion, the game play is much more exciting and real.
