Spring/summer Free Dining

Hi Guys! Well, like a good Diser I called Disney this morning to see what the PIN Code was....I was told it is FD from 4/3-8/13 (I'm sure there are blackout dates and tiers). I don't have all the details, but wanted to pass along what I found out in case it helps out anyone.

I wanted to say-on another thread I just read the Poster said the CM had told them it was not a Public code...you never can get the same answer twice! Anywho-it's probably a good idea for anyone traveling during this time to call and see if they can get FD if they want it.

Well public or other wise there is no pin in my future. I called a bit ago to ask about AP rates and also asked about a pin. Nope none, nil, nadda, zip, zippo. Hmmm do I sound like I'm bitter?!?! LOL I hate to sound bitter, I try to be happy go lucky and say "oh well maybe next time" But there has yet to be a next time. Cry I want a pin code. LOL

Annoying is right!!! I respect that no Disney lovers would post on this board if they are not 100% sure about the facts. If someone is told there is a public discount…..we should all be hearing the same thing? Makes no sense. Have checked so many sources on-line….including Disney site, with no confirmation about free dining.

I also called but was told April 23-August 13

I ask if their where black out dates and instead of an answer, she asked "What dates are you looking for"? I told her I wasnt sure and I would call back after I talked to my DH. (I am planning a December trip) I then ask if it was a public code, she said no, it is one that is attached to my DH name.

I agree, for all of you that are going during this time frame, call and see if you have this code attached to ANY of the people in your party.

I think terms are getting mixed up here. I would imagine the OP said Public Pin code because recently a batch of pins went out specifically to random AP holders. So I think she means anyone (general public) has the chance of receiving this pin code.

Add another NO to the free dining quest. I already am booked in july and the CM this morning said that the only PIN I had expired yesterday(which I didn't know about. She said it was for a room discount.) She also said I am booked with another discount, which I am not. So looks like I will probably try again after work.

thanks for trying. No one is mad at you. I think everyone is annoyed with the inconsistencies of the CMs. At least your report shows show people are getting it.

Don't stress..we hear different things from every CM we talk to and we (the DIS) usually know more than they do.

I just called to change resorts (and hoping for the rumored new offer). I had to ask if I had any discounts, and she found free dining. She also said it just started today. We are going July 9-15. I did not ask if it was public or not, I assumed it was a pin since it wasn't on the site.

The best way to get this answer is someone actually doing it (making a reservation with free dining today) and confirming it, here. It's been an hour since Disney opened their phone lines today and there's nothing on the Disney site mentioning free dining. This would never happen if it was a general public code. Other reliable websites are not showing anything even a private pincode offer starting today. One website has never missed offering a public code of any kind if there's a new one out there.

I'd like this offer myself; so, I'm hoping to hear good news.

I just called and had the Free Dining PIN code! I specifically asked if there were any PIN codes attached to my name, and the CM immediately said yes! I verified by asking if it was a PIN and she said yes.

So thanks to all you wonderful people here, we saved another 400$. Squee!

The dates are for April 23 - Aug 13 and there are no blackout dates.

Oh, and it's free QSDP for the Values and free DDP for Moderates & Deluxes. I upgraded to DDP no problem, we're staying at ASMu.
