My son wants to do Career Start or the College Program. I wanted to get everyone's opinion on which was the better the fall or spring semester. He will be a senior this year and I think it might be good for him to do Career Start, but I'm worried he'll be homesick at Christmas with it being his first experience away from home. He also wants to see if he can do Character performer or attendant which I know he can't do in Career Start.

I've done both, and I prefer the fall program better. I loved being down in FL for the major holidays, and I loved the events that were going on at the time of the fall program.

Also, if he wants to get into entertainment, I would wait to do the CP (unless he can extend the CS).

If your son will need to take out any student loans to go to college then I would consider doing the Career Start Program because then if he choose to extend he could without worrying about loans.

I know personally I choose to try for Fall because I did want to be down for the Holidays, and the weather to me would be better than springtime.

I'm going to have to disagree with the above opinions. I loved the Spring program. I was able to celebrate major holidays that happen in the fall with my family and friends. Also, I live in the Northeast and was able to escape to Florida for most of the winter. The Spring program offers just as much fun activities for CPs as the Fall program. The weather, in my opinion was beautiful. Also the Spring program generally has to deal with less crowds. The only time the parks were crowded was around Spring Break time and then, towards the end of my program, the summer rush. My vote is for Spring. However, no matter which program you pick, its going to be the most magical, fantastic experience ever.

Have a magical day.
