**Spring Offer**

OK, so after an hour on the phone (mostly on hold) and a check-in with guest services, the CM now understands that the discounts for the two sets of dates differ, but a room-only discount is, indeed, available April 14-June 11. So it took some doing, but I got mine. :flower1:

I'm trying to book a room only with the discount online and it won't let me. I keep getting the message I have to add a ticket. Ugh. I really don't want to call.

If you are booking room only you should be booking it on Orbitz for an additional 15% off. And you don't need to add a ticket.

So I just checked Orbitz and sure enough they have availability for my dates and my same room type at the yacht club with this newest discount. This could save me like $1000 but I already have a reservation booked through the disney website...How exactly do I go about this? Through the disney website I booked a hotel, I have my tickets and my dining reservations. I do not have a dining plan. Is it possible to book this Orbitz deal, cancel my reservation I made through the Disney website and then link my Orbitz reservation? Would I get back the $200 I had to put down when booking through the disney site? Will my tickets or dining reservations be affected at all by my cancelling the current reservation I have?

Disney Visa Offer!

Save 35% at Deluxe Villa resorts!

Discount available for stays most nights 4/3-6/30/16.

Disney Visa cardholders can save 35% when booking a reservation at a Disney Deluxe Villa resort.

This discount can also be turned into a package. Purchase a Magic Your Way room and ticket package with minimum 4-day theme park tickets and get an additional ticket day free!

Book by 2/28/16. Advance reservations are required. Deposit must be made with a Disney Visa card. Offer available at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, Disney's Old Key West Resort, Disney's BoardWalk Villas, The Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge and Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows. All discounts are subject to availability, certain restrictions apply.

Orbitz adds the Disney discount.

It won't add a discount that is strictly for Disney Visa cardholders though.

If you are interested in a dining plan, you cannot add one to an Orbitz reservation. It is like a room-only reservation. Tickets would be purchased separately (not as part of a package). If you had tickets booked on a package reservation you will need to purchase tickets separately after you have cancelled the package. If you already purchased tickets separately they will not be affected by the room cancellation. ADRs are also not affected by a room cancellation.

To take advantage of Orbitz discounts, you will have to cancel the room booked with Disney and rebook on Orbitz. You will need to pay in full up front with Orbitz, but the cancellation options are the same as for a room-only reservation (cancel up to 5 days out for full refund)

With the Orbitz deal can you use magical express? The Orbitz deal is 15% off up to $150 max. This deal is messed up. Disney sure is making things complicated when using discounts. #jumpingthroughhoops

How does this work with the discount at disney already?

While there may be some differences in how Orbitz works as noted above, I just had success in getting the Spring Discount Offer on 2 Pop Century rooms (~20%) through Orbitz where the 15% off code worked in addition. Very cool.

Yes. When booking magical express, you use the same hotel reference number that you used to add the reservation to MDE.

I was able to change my existing reservation online to include the new discount. I had already applied the previous discount to all of our nights except the last one, and tonight I applied the current discount, so now all of our nights are covered.

I'm bummed because for once booking through Disney is cheaper than Orbitz. I'm looking at 4/5-4/13 at POR and Disney is cheaper by about $200, its always nice to book off Orbitz and get that extra $150 off. I wonder why Orbitz is more??

I'd really like to book Orbitz and then cancel Disney. Why can't it be done this way?

I did it that way -- are you having problems with it? I didn't actually cancel my Disney-booked trip for at least a few weeks after I linked the Orbitz one, so my account was actually showing 2 resort reservations for the same dates, same resort, just different totals.

That's what I'm currently doing! I've had my Disney-booked trip booked for a few months now. Yesterday I booked with Orbitz because they had availability with the new spring discount. So now I have two of the same exact reservations on my account. Is there any particular reason why you waited that long to cancel your Disney-booked trip? I'm waiting because I'm just paranoid about cancelling my original Disney-booked reservation so soon after I booked the Orbitz one. Want to make sure absolutely no issues occur with the Orbitz one before I cancel my Disney-booked one.

I mainly wanted to be sure everything was in place with the Orbitz reservation, like you, before cancelling. However, another reason was I wanted to wait and see if the Annual Passholder deal was released so that I could modify my reservation online by simply changing the deal/rate (rather than having to call). It's just SO much easier and quicker that way. AP rates still have not been released for my dates (as far as I know...) so I finally just cancelled the Disney reservation. No worries -- everything worked very slick. All my dining ADR's remained. It did take a bit for my credit to appear on my visa from the Disney reservation, maybe like 2 weeks, but otherwise everything went perfectly.

My TA called yesterday and no std rooms with the special were available for CSR or CBR.. I do not want to stay at POR.. I am upset that all the standards are already gone. For now I kept my reservation at CSR without the discount and will just keep checking, but it is very disappointing.

Thank you, thank you, thank you to all of you who posted about Orbitz. Would never have thought to use them if you hadn't. For $95 a room, we were able to upgrade my sister's rooms from POR to Animal Kingdom for the first week of June-received the Spring Discount (which we could not get at POR) and the $150 off each room! She is so excited!!!

Here's the story. I have limited internet availability currently. I had a FD bounceback booked, just to be safe. I was up early and got in at 6am with Disney, but they had to cancel my FD before I could book the RO. I was on the phone for over a hour. It was less than magical. My DD helped me book Orbitz last night, she was online while I was on the phone with her. I split my stay to maximize the current Orbitz promo. Saved over $200 this way. Disney seems to be tightening the discounts and making it hard to find something that works, making one always choose plan B or C. I got my plan A through Disney, but it should have only taken a few minutes not a hour plus. Now I just have to cancel Disney's RO and link my Orbitz reservations. Can I call Disney once I link Orbitz to request ME and room location? Thanks for all the help. This is my first time using Orbitz.

I didn't know Orbitz had one of their specials going - I found my email in my Spam folder. I hate that I have to pay 100% up front though. But I did it anyway and got the extra 15%.
So unless my Dates change I'll be going to Disney in May 2016. Yippee!
