Ahh so excited that I had a Poly Standard Room reservation booked from May 7th - May 16th and just happened to check the WDW website this morning and noticed they had the Spring Vacation offer, so I called and the cast member was able to apply the discount (looks to be something like 28% off the regular room rate). Thank you, Disney!

Just applied the spring offer to my existing reservation. Had a standard view room-only booked at WL. Wanted to apply the discount to that room, but CM told me that it only applied to CY/pool view. So I upgraded. I ended up saving about $350 from my previous reservation, but I would have preferred to have kept std. view and applied discount to that in order to save even more. Oh well, something is better than nothing.

Pretty much. It is so small that they don't have to offer promos to fill the rooms.

Do I understand correctly that some of you have been able to apply the discount to a room-only reservation for dates between April 14 and June 11? Or do you have a package? I'm on hold right now with a CM who has been telling me that only the dates up to April 13 include a room-only offer.

Hopefully someone has some insight into this... I currently have a garden view booked at the yacht club and was hoping to get a discount applied to it. However, the website shows no availability for any type of standard room for my travel dates. Does that mean if I called up they wouldn't be able to apply the discount to my reservation? It was my understanding that there had to still be availability for the rooms in order to get a discount applied to your reservation. Is this always true? Or will a CM be able to do something for you if you actually call up?

I think you are correct, and I don't think the phone CMs have access to any additional inventory. But I could be wrong about that.

OK, so after an hour on the phone (mostly on hold) and a check-in with guest services, the CM now understands that the discounts for the two sets of dates differ, but a room-only discount is, indeed, available April 14-June 11. So it took some doing, but I got mine.

UGH - we arrive on June 11th so when I called to apply this discount it only reduced my first night AND the "standard" room view at Beach Club wasn't available so I would have to upgrade to a pool/woods view and my "discount" would cost me an additional $200! YIKES!! I've pondered a room only reservation for the first night with 1 day tickets to HS (our first day park), but then we'd lose the DxDP for that day AND I'd have to juggle 2 reservations...OR I just wait until the next round of discounts comes out and hopefully get a discount applied for June 12-17th and pay rack room for the 11th?

Keep checking the site to see the room type becomes available! The room type that I wanted wasn't available right away, not until a few days before the last offer expired. Some people change resorts or cancel right before the final payment is due.

So I just talked with DH about it and says to NOT monkey with our reservation and try to split it into 2 - he's not very daring and would rather pay the rack rate for the first night then split into 2 reservations...

now the waiting game begins..UGH...it looks like last year the 2nd round of June discount came out like mid-March...if ONLY I was a patient person that wouldn't seem like FOREVER!!

and I asked the CM this morning if I had any PINs under my name and her response was "not for your date" - so now I'm trying to figure out if she meant I had one but it was for other dates, or I simply didn't have a PIN at all...

I wonder when PINs come out for June? Last time we went and I had a PIN I got it in March but I have no idea when it came out that was just when I decided to call and see if I had one..

I'll just sit here patiently waiting....

Overlapping discount dates can be tough. You would need to make two reservations to make the best of the spring and summer discount.

I know the feeling!! It looks like if I'm able to apply the "not yet released summer discount" on my reservation I may have to switch hotels!! We're currently booked at Beach Club and they're sold out of standard rooms now but it looks like Boardwalk has some (for now) so we may have to pop over there....
