Spring Discount - Rate Fluctuations...daily?

So, I'm trying to make plans for June and looked at the WDW website several times yesterday. Each time, the room prices were different. When I looked this morning, rooms were $40 higher than last night. Do they always fluctuate like this with a discount? The prices aren't "set" at a particular discount price?

The rates sometimes change from weekday to weekend, so if your trip is over a weekend, Friday and Saturday nights might be a little more. Other than that, once rates are out, they don't change.

That's what I thought too. But, I looked 3 times yesterday. The same dates, room, etc. And the nightly room price was different each time. Yesterday I priced the POFQ garden room and it was $186.20 for our dates. This morning, it is $220.17 for the Spring Discount.

The rates had changed several times yesterday for the Riverside as well. All the same dates/room, etc.

Is the first one the rack rate without tax, the second with tax?

That happened to me a couple weeks ago. One of my browsers (firefox) always pulled up the pretax price. My Safari browser always pulls up the post tax price. I didn't realize it until i looked at them side by side.

Something funky is going on. I called and was in the process of making a reservation at the "lower" discounted price and their system went down. I am trying to make the reservation online and the price changes from 197.75 a night to $220 a night. When I try to book at the lower price, it says system unavailable. It is screwy.

That is strange. The website must be going through some glitches, which unfortuntely, seems to be a regular thing. I'd call to see what kind of a quote you get with a CM. Good luck.

I had something similar happen to me. I discovered that it was showing me a different rate than the actual discount rate I was looking for.

It did this to me this morning as well. It said I couldn't book right this minute and then 5 minutes later the prices were significantly higher.

It could be that there are no more discounted rooms for your date at that resort. Once that happens it shows the normal rate it would seem. Also, if it shows you the "average" that can be different from the individual daily rates depending on weekends holidays etc.

I had the same thing happen, they have a glitch. I booked two rooms, the second one the next day but otherwise the same exact ressie and got a different rate. Looking over my confirmation, looks like they didn't have the black out dates set right.

I just booked at POR and it did the same thing to me. I have been watching the rates for the same dates and same resorts over the past few days. I noticed that it would sometimes log me out, even though it said "Hello..." at the top of the page. I would have to keep logging in to see the reduced rate. I finally booked it and now the discount is not showing at all. I guess because I used it already?? The web site is wonky.
