Spring Direct Incentives 2/9-4/27

VDH AT 150 POINTS $31,300

SSR AT 150 POINTS $27,000

VDH AT 200 POINTS $41,500

SSR AT 200 POINTS $34,000

Savings of $4,300 for 150 points of SSR vs VDH
Savings of $7,400 for 200 points of SSR vs VDH

250 points of SSR is $42,500 vs 200 points of VDH is $41,400. Can get 50 more direct points SSR for $1100 more

Is it $155 per point with MB at 200 points with SSR and $158 per point with MB at 250 points with SSR, what am I doing wrong?

I feel like that’s a substantial savings… unless you reallllyy need to own at VDH
It really is and I can still stay at vdh. I feel like im letting vdh gang down by considering this. But I am the poor friend on the boards 😢 I need savings 🤣

Just got off the phone with my guide and of course as already discovered, the incentives for the Polynesian were better last incentive period, so I'm staying with my contract. When I was talking to him, I asked him to send me the new pricing sheet and he said today rolled out a new program where they don't give those out anymore. Each quote has to be individual due to compliance reasons. Instead he sent me a little individual report with the contract size, pricing, offers, closing costs, document prep fee.
So that is a bummer the sheets are supposedly gone. However the SSR one was given out, so I wonder if my guide was accurate.

edit--- see post later in the morning, the new incentives ARE better when you have all the discounts accounted for- D23, Visa card holder, and the DVC Anniversary discount.

Also, the personalized offer sheet has a long disclosures section. This is the relevant part of that-

My guide isnt available until Wednesday which is really bumming me out. I want to talk to someone, but I dont want to piss her off or ruin what we got going on right now because of all the exceptions shes gotten for us. I guess i should wait, right?

SSR is interesting in that you save $45pp whether you buy 200pts or 4,000pts.

That’s a healthy discount on 200pts.

Base price $215, discounted at $45pp and MB can take another $20pp off, works out to $150pp.

$30k for 200pts.

Every UY except Jan would still have 28 years of points left.

Plus I think another $1k off for 35th Anniversary? That would cover closing costs so 200pts doesn’t exceed $30k.

Probably best to have the time to think it out. You will have a better picture of what you want tomorrow morning. They will still have the points available then!

I just got an email from Disney Rewards that took me to this link

https://disneyrewards.com/offers/di...em&pub=dr&type=lto&crt=hero&plc=header&prd=pr
The fine print says the $1000 anniversary credit is only for purchases of 200 points or more.

DVC 35th Anniversary Offer: Offer to save an additional $1,000 requires new purchasers to participate in a Resort sales tour, either telephonically, online or in person (“Tour”), and buy an ownership interest with at least 200 Vacation Points in The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort – A Disney Vacation Club® Resort, The Villas at Disneyland® Hotel, AULANI, Disney Vacation Club Villas, Ko Olina, Hawaiʻi, Disney’s Riviera Resort, or Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows.

----
But you can get $1000 off by having a Disney Visa if you buy at least 150 points.

Disney Visa Additional Credit Offer: Offer requires new purchasers to be a current Disney Visa cardholder and participate in a Resort sales tour, either telephonically, online or in person (“Tour”), and buy an ownership interest of at least 150 Vacation Points in AULANI, Disney Vacation Club® Villas, Ko Olina, Hawai‘i, Disney’s Riviera Resort, The Villas at Disneyland® Hotel, The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort – A Disney Vacation Club® Resort or Disney’s Polynesian Villas and Bungalows. Valid for existing Disney Visa cardholders.

I think @Girlstar30 has already started the process with VDH points, so I think she has a very small window to change her mind. Is that correct, girlstar?
I have no idea it am wondering this too. My closing isnt until March and I was told i could straddle, but can I completely change resorts and do Magical beginnings when I refused magical beginnings on vdh and already spent some points (but not enough to go over MB at all)

My guide not being available is driving me crazy. Already emailed her twice but I have a feeling im going to have to wait until tomorrow.

With that being said if its a no that I cant switch, im going to question if thats true. I wonder if it would be more enticing to the guide to sell 150 vdh points or 200 to 250 ssr points

Like can I cancel the whole thing if ive already used points and they say no and then restart the process?

These are all for "New Members"

I wonder if the discounts will be for lower amounts for existing members
