We are headed to DW late March/early April 2014. This is not over Easter. What can we expect crowds to be like at DW and the dark side?

I live here and go to WDW at least every other month. April is busy but not holdiay time busy. It's still "prime season" for Disney and weather.

Crowds are managable but expect them. High school trips can take place in April and the tail end of spring break is still happening.

On the bright side, April is one of the best weather months to go. Not very humid yet and good swimming weather.

I would recommend making ADR's as soon as possible if you haven't already. Since it's still a busy time, this is a better safe then sorry thing if you really have a place you want to eat at.

Were coming April 26-30 this year my husband,
Mother in law and 6 kids ages 13,13,12,11,5,2.
We came last year march 1-5 it was miserably
Cold outside so we didn't enjoy ourselves much. The crowds were low in march but the cold weather made it not a very fun trip. Were looking forward to the warmer weather in late April and crossing fingers for low crowds!

we are traveling during same general time / 2/21-3/4. . . Kinda off topic but along the same lines, we are trying to get our packing list together and saw online the lists include jackets. Obviously down would compress better but we dont own because we live in Louisiana and simply never have need for something like that. The jackets we have are sufficient in general for us but we dont sit around outside in the winter ether... do we crowd our suitcases with cheaper heavy jackets, sink money into down coats we proably wont use again, or do we just take our current coats and hope they are good enough... will it really be cold enough to need DOWN JACKETS IN FLORIDA???:offtopic:

Depends! We took our grandson down there in early Feb 2012. The weather forecast called for warm weather all week. My grandson wore jeans on the flight down there, while my husband and I wore shorts. We wore shorts all week and swam every day. My D-I-L called us the night before we flew home to ask me to buy my grandson a hoodie and to put him back in those jeans as a cold front had hit here in Texas and he'd need them when we got off the plane. The whole week in Florida we were in shorts though and were fine. We are from Texas, so close to Louisiana, so don't handle cold weather well either.:rotfl:

We went last year in March and they had a cold front come in... It was freezzziinggggg I mean highs in the 40s and windy. We didn't pack appropriately because we came in 2011 in march and it was in the 80s and wonderful. If I were you I would check the weather a few weeks before you go just to make sure! And yes get a nice heavy hoodie and maybe even hats if the forecast calls for cold temps around that time!
