Spring Break ???

Since Easter is early this year I was wondering when everyone had their Spring Break. We have off the week before Easter in March and the 2 days in April( 21 & 22). I am thinking about pulling kids in April for 3 days and going then but don't want to face huge crowds.

Any thoughts? When is your school vacations?

Majority of metro Atlanta schools, public and private have Spring Break April 4th - 8th this year.

My college has spring break from March 21-25.

Spring break for my DS will be the last week of April for him, wonder if it would be better to go in April or in the summer, if we go in the summer it will be for 10 days, if we go in April it will only be for 5 days.

My DD's will have Good Friday off & then the week following Easter. We usually have the 2 weeks off surrounding Easter & have spent about 14 or 15 days in "the world". They changed it this year, however, we are pulling them out of school on the Tuesday before Easter & will spend the entire week after Easter in WDW.

Right or wrong to do this - I'm not sure, but they messed with my Disney vacation so I don't feel guilty about it!!!

Public Schools in Kalamazoo, MI is 4-8 April

Western Michigan University is Feb 28-March 4
Michigan State University is March 7-11

Massachusetts, Maine and parts of CT, have the week of April 18.

The busiest time at Disney is always the week before and week after Easter. Many schools move their break to follow Easter. Our break is always the last week in March, no matter when Easter is. We went to WDW last March and crowds were moderate. We will not go down in 05 as our break coinsides with Easter!

Upstate NY (Rochester) also the week of the 18th. Jet Blue already starting to raise fares for this time.

I think Oklahoma has spring break March 21-25. Last year our spring break was the same as Texas. Some states like ours have a universal week so families can go the same week...college down to grade school. I think we had the same week as Texas last year. It would be interesting to see the breakdown of each week. I guess from these post Florida has a much later spring break?

DD's Spring Break (a public high school) is March 7-11, but DS's (private college, but in our county) is the following week. So he won't be able to come to WDW with us -- maybe better for him, since DD's friend is coming too and he'd have to sleep in the living room at BWV!
