Spring Break Plans?

What's everyone planning? My mom and I are taking the kids to Gatlinberg, TN and staying in the Christmas Inn. It's a surprise for the kids, and I'm having a hard time not mentioning it! We're not going until Easter, though- that's my Spring Break.

We're going to be home the week of Spring Break, but the weekend of Spring break, we're taking the kids to Chicago for the weekend.

For the last 3 years we have gone to Disneyland. After the crazy chaos that was Disneyland during Spring Break last year, we are staying home this year.

Our big Spring Break thing will be taking our son on a shopping trip out-of-town to get summer clothes.

Sounds exciting, huh? LOL

We were in Las Vegas earlier this month, so I kind of consider that a mini vacation. And DH is going to Reno in August with his mother, and DS and I are going to NY June 2012, so we are trying to budget a bit.

We leave tomorrow for PHOENIX!!! Golfing at Tatum Ranch, Talking Stick and THE BOULDERS SOUTH COURSE!!!!

when I'm not working or caring for my mom, I will be at home trying to block out my sons compalaints of how all his friends are somewhere warm and fun and we are stuck here in lousy IL again, just like every year. Then I will get to hear it all over again when he goes back to school and has nothing to offer during the trip comparison conversations. He does have to go to the ortho..woo-hoo! I was hoping his water polo practices woud use up some time, but his coach cancelled those for the week since he will be out of town as well.

Have you stayed at the Christmas Inn before? We stayed there last year for one night before we moved to our rental cabin on Spring Break and it was wonderful! Such a charming, comfortable place! Enjoy your stay!

Our Spring Break isn't for another 5 weeks and we have no plans as of yet, still don't know what we're doing...my kids don't want to go anywhere, my DH is fine with that since he travels, but I'm ITCHING for some type of getaway after this winter, even if it's around the corner

Never been but heard it's beautiful. Ds loves hiking and outdoorsy-stuff.

I haven't! It looks really cute, though. We got a balcony room with courtyard view. We normally rent cabins, too, but were lookign at hotels this time to be closer to the action and lessen our drive. We looked up the Inn on a whim- my mom thought it would be really expensive but I was pleasantly surprised!

That is what we did last year for Spring Break. It was beautiful and I loved seeing the whales and dolphins.

This year nothing for us. We may do some day trips if the weather is good.

We're going away for a long weekend to NYC a couple weeks before Spring break. During spring break we'll probably just do a lot of local museums and stuff.

We are going to Belize and I'm super excited! We have never been, but have heard great things about it. After our very cold and very snowy winter, and now our rainy spring I am so ready!

6 days til we leave for Punta Cana!!! Can't wait -- we've never been there before.

Punta Cana looks really really nice, and we are considering it for next years spring break.

Disney World-we leave Easter Sunday
I had said never again at this time however I had to use my DVC pts before they expired and my friend and her 9 yr old son are off that week-soooo.
This little boy is autistic and LOVES Disney World. We love seeing him love it so it's all good.

We never go away for Spring Break but this year we are going to Williamsburg. I am so excited, I have been wanting to go there for years.

As of now we are doing a "staycation."
We plan on staying downtown a couple of nights, and do touristy stuff, that we have not done before.
