Spring Break or June? When to visit?

We had the most magical trip to WDW last December and I'm ready to start planning the next trip!

I'm now trying to decide between spring break 2019 (the week of 4/15, leading up to Easter which is 4/21) OR the week of June 10, the first week of summer break for my kids.

I know it varies, but just how bad are spring break crowds? Are we talking parks-at-capacity crowds like you hear about over Christmas, or 7-9 level crowds?

My husband and son don't do well in the heat, so from a weather standpoint, April has a lot of appeal. We went in April 2016 and it was so perfect. (At the time, our spring break was several weeks after Easter so we avoided crowds AND got great weather).

But, if it's just insanely crowded the week before Easter, are we better off in June? I am a big planner so not worried about a good park plan, but still don't want to be in huge crowds. Which dates would you pick?

We usually go in the first two weeks of June. It crowded (well it has been) and hot but not as crowded as Spring Break. I wanted to go in the last 2 weeks in May but with my daughter interviewing on a scholarship for engineering, its another June trip.

June. It will be hotter but while it will be busy it will not be insane like spring break.

Since your spring break coincides with Easter I would avoid it. We have done June and July before and we really enjoyed it. We found that we moved from ride to ride and were never in the direct heat/sun for long. You can always step into a gift shop to cool off. Just make a good touring plan so you aren’t zigzagging all over and you should be fine.
