Spring Break on the Dream! April 10-15 2012

Just getting caught up !! I soooo didn't know that about the Disney Visa !! WOW !! I just applied for one, BTW !!

We have lost our kids in the HISTK playground before. Couldn't find them for like 20 minutes. DH was freaking a little, but we finally found them. It was the first time I had ever seen him more worried than me about the kids.

I love that they took a group photo of the Castaway Cay 5K and gave Tim and certificate for it. Super cool.

Looking forward to reading more !!

I think the photo of your daughter & Mickey on CC with the Dream in the background is awesome!!!!! Love it!! The 2 photos of your family on your AP night are great, too. Your yellow dress is pretty.

Thanks for helping us relive a "dream" vacation! Just wanted to add that Soarin! is my #1 favorite ride (and my 91 year old Mom's too). It simulates a hang glider soaring over places in California. If I don't ride anything else I always ride that. So, next time you go...
I'm amazed that dinner for 3 at the Biergarten could be so expensive. We ate at Teppan Edo (2 adults) and I don't think it was anywhere near that much. (We didn't purchase any alcohol though)--Angie

2 half-liter beers $15 ($7.50 each)
1 kid's dinner buffet $17.99 (I believe this included her milk, we weren't charged separately for her beverage)
2 adult dinner buffets $73.98 ($36.99 each)
tax $6.96
subtotal $113.93
tip (just under 20% - I'm just a routine 20% tipper if I am satisfied with my service, which I was) $20
Grand Total $133.93

The alcohol was the least of the cost!

Any pictures of the Rainforest spa?

Not the kind of place you can take pictures comfortably. People are trying to relax. It would be like taking a picture during a massage or something... awkward! And to clarify - "Senses" is the spa. Rainforest is a special area that is part of the spa. It is right next door to the fitness center, right across the hall from the locker rooms.

There are 4 different showers (different temperatures, textures, lighting etc), 2 steam rooms and 1 more traditional dry sauna. Next to this area is a line of heated loungers, then outside are two hot tubs, that would hold 2 people comfortably, 4 would be crowded. It's a co-ed area, so swimsuits are required (another reason not to take pics!).

Anyone having a spa service (like a massage) has access before/after, or you can buy passes for $16/day.

I know there are pics on the DCL website, I'll see if I can find some to share.

Hey fellow Minnesotan! I have to say that after WDW, Duluth is one of my favorite places to visit!! I went to college there and have always wanted to move back! Definitely much better scenery than Thief River Falls (where I live)!

I am loving your trip report! We are going on our first cruise ever, leaving June 24th on the Dream! Can't wait for the cruise and for more of your report! :thumbsup2

Is that the Ahi Tower from Enchanted Garden? It looks good!

Also, I love scallops but that stuff in the middle looks kind of weird (pearl pasta I think?) What did you think?

I didn't write down the exact phrasing on the menu, sorry. I'm sure you can find full menus somewhere on the DIS!

I don't know what was in the middle of the scallops, I only ate the scallops and the asparagus! That's the pleasure of ordering many entrees - besides, who needs "filler carbs" when there's stuff like scallops and Ahi tuna to eat!

I like the way you think! Wish I'd ordered 3 of the ahi-avocado appetizers!
