The WDW website lists Spring Break as being a particularly busy time - are the queues really bad there, does anybody know? And if so, does the busy period equate to the rest of Florida or just WDW?

Many thanks!!

Spring break has become spread out over the past few years, but if you are referring to the week before Easter Sunday, it is still the busiest of the Spring break weeks. The MK has been known to close because of capacity crowds on some days during that week.

Like the above poster said, Spring break is now relatively spread out. However, I've been during some periods of Spring Break, and I find it comparable to July crowds. They are manageable as long as you arrive early.

We went during our children's spring break last year. This was NOT the week immediately prior to Easter (although now I can't remember the exact dates.) I said I would NEVER go that week again. Traffic was awful. We had to wait in line to get in, wait in line to eat, wait in line to ride, wait in line to pee.

I hated it. It was the first and only trip to Disney where I was actually ready to go home at the end of the week.

I went 12th-19th March this year which was prime spring break time. It was extremely crowded. Second to Christmas I'd say and I think I'd avoid what would be termed as peak spring break in future.

Thanks for the replies, everyone! We are now looking at going last week in Feb and first week in March - there shouldn't be any spring breaks that early, should there?

Be careful of Presidents Day in late Feb.

We were there March 24th - April 15th this year and while it was pretty busy it was nothing that rope drops, fastpases and clever touring could stop.

Easter was late this year though so as a lot of people have said spring break was pretty spread out.

Not been ourselves then but we have family who have a 2nd home in Florida so they go 4 times a year. They think March to April is a very very busy time over there,They Try to avoid DW on that visit :0(

Avoid spring break, it was the busiest time I've been with loads of massive groups of school kids. I wouldn't go during spring break again x

I agree that it is a very busy time, we found the weather to be unpredictable at this time too
