I found 2 schools in the Anaheim area that has spring break from March 28th through April 1st. Does anyone know if spring break continues into the next week? Is April 1st through April 7th still considered high attendance because of spring break?

I'm not sure about the Anaheim area but the schools here in Ventura County have Spring Break from 3/28-4/1.

Yes, that's probably why early April is listed as a high-volume time. You don't just have to deal with local spring breaks, though. Families from all over the country take advantage of spring break to make the trip to Disneyland. Anytime any school is out for a week or more, you're going to see families with school-age children trying desperately to get in a family vacation.

We are visiting hubby's family in LA from OH and that is the only week we can go. Oh well, a crowded DL is better than no DL at all. :earboy2:

I completely understand! My mother's fall trip got nixed because my ex-sister-in-law decided that she couldn't pull my nephew out of kindergarden for two weeks, so they have to go over their spring break.

Just make sure to pay close attention to this board--they have some great tips for making the most of your vacation, even if the park is crowded!

Any idea when University and Collage have there (reading week/spring break)?
I can't speak for all colleges but my alma mater, CSUN, has their Spring Break from 3/21-3/26.

A good way to estimate attendance is by looking at the black out dates for the So-Calif AP. The last two weeks of March are blacked out, but all of April is not. So, while this time may be busier than normal, I wouldn't expect it to be high-season crowds. Just plan to make full use of Fastpass and get there at opening and I predict you'll have a great time!

When I called DH that was one of my questions. Was when is spring break. They have the date when I called. So I made my trip later in April.

We just booked our trip during our 1st graders spring break April 11-14. :jumping4:

HI!
The general rule is that the week before and the week following Easter are the busiest times for Spring break in O.C.
:flower:

The best way to predict how crowded the parks will be is to check out the park operation hours calendar on Disneyland.com.

For instance, Disneyland Park will remain open until midnight the entire week both before and after Easter. This is the best evidence that there is an expectation of large crowds during that period.

Then starting Monday April 4, Disneyland will resume with an 8 p.m. weekday closing time.

Southern California schools have spring break anywhere from early March through mid-April. No rhyme or reason in most cases! :) Mid to late March probably will be the busiest, since Easter is in late March and some schools still select that week for spring break.
