Spring Break in Ocean City, Md.

My family and I are looking to get away for a few days in the week before Easter. Found a Groupon for Paradise Plaza in OC, Md for $59 a night. It gets good reviews on Trip Advisor. I know the rides will be closed but will the boardwalk stands and arcades be open? I'd like to do a day in Assateague/Chincoteague, maybe a wild pony tour? Looking for other cheap/free ideas for 2 or 3 days. Family is hubs, me, DD(22) and DS(15).

If you're there over the weekend the shops and arcades at the end of the Boardwalk will be open. There may be a couple towards the top of the boards (27th Street), but you'll want to go down to the Inlet to get to the arcades anyways. I believe Assateague is open year round since there is a both a State and National Park side to it. If you're not familiar, you would drive out of Ocean City on Rt. 50 and make a left on to MD 611 and follow that all the way to Assateague. I'm a MD girl and spring time is my favorite time to go to the beach.
