ETA: looks like this glitch has been fixed...JB no longer showing up in search results, as of 2:30 PM or so

For any people traveling for Easter/Spring Break 2014, its worth a click over to Hipmunk to see if you can catch what is likely a glitch, but a big savings.

I’m doing my annual trip to Atlantis (Nassau, Bahamas)the week before Easter in April 2014. I was doing my daily price check research last night (via Hipmunk ipad app), and JetBlue flights popped up at a great price ($150pp less than others). Clicking through lead me to JetBlue website, where I was able to buy tickets for mid-April 2014, when the rest of JB’s website says its only selling tickets through February.

Anyway, I checked if flights to/from Orlando were for sale, and they are….also at a price much lower than any others.

Wow - that's great. I wish we were going somewhere for spring break, but we're not.

I'd never heard of hipmunk before. I'll have to remember to check it out next time we're planning a trip.

I hope this was legit. I booked for March Break the Friday the 7th to the 15th. From Buf to Orlando for $250.00 return. And I had a $100 travel fund I used. I have the confirmation from JetBlue, booked seats and everything. So fingers crossed.

is this legit??? I am seeing outof boston for my week 173.02 direct flights???

Trying to decide if this will backfire for some reason is scaring me out of an incredible price......

Evidence for legit:

-Booked on JB's website
-My email confirmation is from Jet Blue.
-I can retrieve my reservation on Jetblue's website.
-I called JetBlue to ask a question this morning and agent confirmed my dates.
-I can pull up a ticket receipt from Sabre.

Suspicious:
-Price is a really good deal for the dates.
-Website says its not selling tickets beyond February.

I suspect the next set of dates JB is going to release has been accidentally or prematurely loaded into some system.

If you called I wonder if I can call and apply the rest of my credit that I have. I was afraid to call with the dates not being released yet.

I decided not to use any credits because this feels like a possible error. If I end up wanting/needing a refund, It seems like it would be easier just to have funds returned to a credit card, rather than have to deal with a split between JB credit account and cash. Even if this is some sort of error, I expect that JB will honor the ticket and get me from my origin to destination for the price I paid....the question for me is if I'll want the substitute flight.

In my case, I decided to buy because the price was so good. I'm not super happy with my route (go through Boston to get to Nassau, from DC), but I hope schedules will change enough that I'll be switch to connect through Orlando or Ft. Lauderdale.

Out of curiosity, I just searched for dates in March and May. JetBlue shows up in the March search results, but does not show up for May.

April vacation shows up for me! Need to bite the bullet. We always fly out of bdl but for this price boston is an hour away and the higher parking fees may still be worth it.

Agreed, I used 1 that was my hubbies. I was under his jetblue account. I didn't use the other 3 that I have. But maybe I will wait until the flights are actually released and do it then.

had it on my screen and went to do an errand and now I can't see JB as an option what am I doing wrong...or is it gone?

Yeah, looks like glitch has been fixed. Searches I did around lunch time, JB no longer shows up.

Maybe this means we're close to a schedule extension. I know last year JB extended through srping around mid-July.

off to cry myself to work now. I saw it and waited and lesson learned....crossing my fingers that JB does extend SOON and I will jump at the flights if they seem reasonable. Thanks everyone and happy for those that did get a great deal!:lovestruc
