Spring Break 2011 on the DREAM

Okay, so I completed my check-in info before the whole port time slot stuff was added. But...I forgot to print out my signature form. Now it won't let me go back to that page at all. So, I have no way to pick any port arrival time or print my form. Let's hope it's okay that I don't have the pre-printed form. We'll see what happens when I just show up at the port at MY choice of a time.

Side Note to ESBRICK: did you get my email about finally getting our GTY room assignment?

I hope everyone is surviving this very WINTERY week across the country!

Yes you are all set I updated this am!

As far as port times go, on the thread someone contacted Disney, you can show up any time, they are just trying to do some crowd control due to the bigger ship, but they won't turn anyone away. So no worries if you are already registered.
I have now completed 3/4 of our registration, once I get in it is ok, but having to wait in between reservations is a pain, I just want to do it!!
Oh well, complaining about registering for a cruise is still better than not having a cruise to complain about!!:rotfl::rotfl:
Have a great day everyone! We are having a warm muggy day here in FL, in the mid 70s. Stay warm people...

We're family of five. DH, me, DS (13), DD (11), DD (7). Don't know anything about this FE thing. Can someone tell me where to to get info. what does it look like and how do you make one. I'm a scrapbooker so I can be crafty, just need more info. a picture would be great. :) Thanks.

OK you are added to the list. Would you email me with your email address so I can send you an updated spread sheet? Also I will need your cabin # and if you would like to your names would be great!:goodvibes

Oooo so jealous of that mid 70 heat!!!

After seeing some of the posts this am on the DCL forum I went in and took care of my crew. Three different ressies too. I got a boarding time of 11 AM which works for us. :goodvibes I'm looking foward to exploring before the sail away party!

Hi Everyone!

Quick update! We currently have:

32 Cabins

31 DDs

20 DSs

62 Adults

One of our families is from Germany which is very cool! Looking foward to spending some time figuring out FE stuff this weekend and next!

Take care!

Does anyone participating in the FE have any food/nut allergies?

I just don't want to get anyone sick. My daughter has a classmate who is really allergic to peanuts and can't even touch a Snickers bar WRAPPER without having a reaction. :sad2:

hi i sent a PM to Esbrick re: a change but have not had a response or update. Cabin # 12504 will NOT be participating in the FE; Cabin #12502 WILL be participating with 3 adults (Grandma, Grandpa, AND Aunt Susie), 2 granddaughters ages 14 (Sophia) and (Olivia) age 9. At lease we HOPe to participate - the 'gate' on the concierge level could be a problem. does anyone else know more about this? hope this helps and hope to get an update. I have been in a serious auto accident and things aren't great to say the least, but will do my best to live up to my obligation.
Re the food allergies, we solved that on last cruise by not giving out any candy or nuts - just in case!!

Sorry to hear about your car accident...

Yeah, I know I can come up with some treats that are allergy safe, there are a some out there but (other than people with allergies) who doesn't love candy? :confused3 :rotfl:

As for your cabin # being updated, the spreadsheet that esbrick sent me last week has you listed in 12502, so you're all set for when they send out a final list...

Hi Gert! Sorry for not responding to you. I truely thought I did. Unfortunatley I've been laid up with some health issues of my own and terribley busy at work so I try and get as much done as possible. Thank Goodness that both the health and work issues will be diminished, please God, by next Friday and I can devote more time to the important things in life, CRUISE planning!:thumbsup2

I believe that even though you all are in the concierge area that I'm sure there will be accomidations made to get your FE stuff to your cabin. It is very important if you have bags going to that area of the ship to label them with cabin numbers so that the concierge attendents will be able to deliver them to the correct door.

Hope you are feeling better and healing well. I know it is a long and hard journey to recover from a car accident.

Take care!

thanks, besides removing one stateroom, 12502 will have 2 kids instead of 1 as on the first sheet.
i do hope they remove the 'barricade.' it is always fun to see the FE's on the doors etc. does the gate have an attendant? how do you bring FE gifts to attendant? asking because we have friends who are not on the 12th deck.

Yep, Gert, it is in the Spreadsheet as 3 adults (DGM, DGP, & Aunt Susie
) and 2 kids (DGD14, DGD10 - names omitted by me)

I went and bought sea bands yesterday for the family (just in case). Not sure if they work but it makes me feel good to have "something" with us.

Are there any other words of advice on things to have for those of us "first time cruisers" that are a little worried about getting sea sick:confused3 Sorry if you guys have already talked about this in any way and I missed it but just thought I would ask:)

The only time you ever really feel the ship moving is the first night and last night. That's because there is a lot more shipping traffic in the channels near the big ports. But, honestly, if you are busy doing something you don't notice anything (now if you plan on retiring at 8 or 9 pm- you may feel a little but hardly anything). I worried over the same thing on our 1st cruise last year. Ended up wearing the bands the 1st night because I was nervous about it, then promptly forgot to wear them for the entire rest of the cruise. Never felt anything either.
