Rather then a lengthy essay report, I'll do a more brief Report Card of what impressed our family of four.

Magical Express: A+ airport to room in one hour

WDW Transportation: A+ largely due that Coranodo Springs has its own dedicated bus services. Epcot Illuminations-thru crowd -to bus-to room 45 minutes. Wishes fireworks from Grand Floridian pier- to monorail - to bus-to room, 40 minutes. We had a full standing room only bus twice in one spring-break week: to DTD at 6:00pm, and after MK closed at 10:00pm.

Coranodo Springs: A+ I cannot say enough good things about this beautiful resort. I'll never pay for a "deluxe" resort again.

Donald's Breakfast: A- AK early morning character breakfast

Chef Mickey: D- low point of the trip.

MK: A+ ...... Carribbean Adventure closed for updating :sad2:

Epcot: A (am I the only one who thinks Illuminations was better when sponsored by GE?) Isn't it odd that an entire resort complex based on "Imagineering" has a pavilion called "IMAGINATION" which is a weak, unattended attraction?

MGM: A- A Nice park, just not much that interests our family. Stunt shows are a plus. Because this park has a lot of large-crowd shows, it tends to make this smaller park feel even more congested as the crowds move in and out together.

AK: A- ......Safari ride was a bit rough to see a few sleeping animals. Take the walking trail. Rafiki's Conservation and Petting stations have been done better by other zoos. LION KING gets a A+ all by itself. Disney did do a great job of placing this park within its natural surroundings, rather than bull-dozing everything for asphalt and concrete. The bad news is that the narrow walk-ways can get very congested.

Typhoon Lagoon / Blizzard Beach: A+ both really deliver as promised

Down-Town Marketplace: A ..... a nice break from the All-Disney-All-the-time atmosphere (and prices).

Orlando Weather: A+ mid 80's and mostly sunny (the locals are praying for rain as they haven't had any for 4 months).

thanks for posting your views. I'm staying at CSR in October so I'm really glad you thought so highly of it, the photos sure look beautiful. Glad you had a great vacation,
Claire xx

I like your grading system for your Trip Report. How come you didn't like Chef Mickey's?

There are sooooo many reasons, I don't know where to start . . . . .

We had a 6:20 reservation, showed up 20 minutes early . . . and hungry. 6:20 came and went. 6:30 came and went. 6:40 came and went. And yes 6:50 came and went.

There is loud, fun, and festive. Then there is just loud and chaotic. This was the latter. Every 1/2 hour they do break into song and dance which is the only break you get from the chaos of the atmosphere.

There are good attentive waite staff, and then there are hurried hectic waite staff. Guess which one we got.

Food choices were minimal and not properly prepared. Hand-carved prime rib was either bloody rare or over-cooked well. Pork was somehow turned into cow-hide tough leather. Raviloli was room temperature. Wendy's makes better salads. Deserts were mass-produced and nothing special.

If this were a $6.95 Buffet . . . .sure that's one thing.
But this was a $116 bill for a family of 4 from the master of entertainment and hospitality . . . . . Disney. What a disappointment. It's not like it ruined the whole trip, but it was the lowest point of the week.

Two days earlier we had Donald's character breakfast at Animal Kingdom before it opened. They were organized and on time. The food wasn't 4-star but it was properly prepared and hot. The waite staff was cheerful, helpful, and attentive.

Sounds like you had a wonderful trip! Thanks for posting!

I just want to say thank you thank you thank you for the great title! It says everything when and where you stayed. I don't have all day to read and sift through trip reports and would love to find the ones that pertain to me. great reort short and to the point.
