Well, I know that the vacation planner is usually one of 2 things. They can be in one of the booths right outside the maingate to help people plan and buy tickets. Or, let's say you were to call the WDW number to plan out a vacation, the people that answer could also be a DCP. So you could be in a cubicle working out other peoples vacation plans as well.
And for concierge, from what I know you are typically a front desk resort worker and can bounce around to selling tickets and working convention areas within the resort. Not sure what the diffrence between this and hospitality is though.
I'm going down next month as a Vacation Planner. Your first answer is correct. I will be at one of the 4 parks planning/selling tickets. However, the people that you call for reservations, etc., aren't CPs. At least to my knowledge.
