Spring 2015 DCP

I'm heading back at the end of April - 7 days from April 27 - May 3.

And then we're going back at the end of October -- and by then I should (hopefully) know whether or not I'll be back again in January for the program (fingers crossed).

will you be staying on-property while you're there dawn?

and yes, hopefully october will be a month of happy news for everyone! how wonderful would it be to find out that you've been accepted while your ON a disney vacation?!?

Hey guys, my friend directed me to sample questions that are similar to what you would find on the WBI

It gives some good info too on what to expect with these kind of tests. I know my biggest worry is messing on the WBI somehow!

haha well i guess before i start looking forward to anything, i'm hoping to get in first. i'm crazy about not jinxing myself...

but i guess if i do get accepted, i'm just so excited to have the opportunity to explore every inch of disney world with people are just as passionate about it as i am! i would also be so honored to create magical experiences for guests - but i'm sure we're all looking forward to that! what about you katy?

Exactly the same thing! Couldn't have said it better myself just having the opportunity to work there would just be so fantastic. I've already thought of some adventure days I'm going to have of I get accepted haha

I'm right there with you guys! I would be really blessed to get this opportunity and be able to have the time to explore and work with others that love Disney too! Hopefully I can use the DCP to lead into a more permanent position or professional internship after

Yeah, the ones I have are small children's so they don't fit anymore. Lol What positions are you wanting to do? Would you do regular or advantage ?

Aww that's sad! I'm wanting to do either attractions or character attendant! I've often thought about auditioning to be a face character though and as of right now I'm planning on just applying for the regular program! What about you?

Oh, fun! I'm hoping for concierge or hospitality in my top roles- I have a lot of experience so that may give me a better chance. And if not, I'll put attractions and maingate operations in moderate...I think I'll do advanatge, I graduate this fall so I can do advanatage and hopefully be able to move up over time.

I'm graduating from the University of West Florida, out of Pensacola, which is my hometown so it was really convenient! Lol And yeah, I have a good friend out there doing the program right now, I'm skyping with him later so I can get a good idea about how everything goes firsthand...he said the best part of advantage is that you do get an "advantage" with placement and jobs over those that just go a semester

I know when I read the frump style blog she had concierge but I remember her mentioning she had an unrelated major so that gives me hope of a better chance as a hospitality major! What kind of other internship are you gonna do? I did one at a travel tourism buisness which was kinda fun

Ya and I don't think she had previous experience I hotels which gives me great hope what would be your dream hotel to work at? And I currently work at Wegmans, it's an amazing grocery store, better then whole food IMO, it's currently on the east coast in New York, penn, mass New Jersey. and I have a management position and just got a three year summer management position.

Yeah, they say the position is usually only for hospitality majors but yet she was able to get it too so maybe it will work out for us! And I would love to work at the grand Floridian, contemp, or poly"...I love all those but would also like the AK lodge....any of the deluxe resorts, really. And I just googled it, how fancy! We have a fresh market here, a little similar but nice. That's a great opportunity! In the long run I want to focus on catering,conventions, and events
