Agh!
Everyone's already applied
So....I've been waiting for my campus presentation
is this a bad idea? Should I just watch an e-presentation and apply pronto?

I've missed it the last two years for varying reasons! I'm a complete wreck, stressing out over this, I want to do this program more than anything.
Obviously it's not that far into the recruiting season, but I want to optimize my chances of getting in!

I went ahead and did the E-Presentation since my campus presentation wasn't going to be until October 8 & 9. I just couldn't wait any longer. Plus, I heard that even if you do go to a campus presentation you still have to do a phone interview so I didn't really see the point. I don't think it's necessarily a bad idea to wait for your campus presentation, it just depends on how patient you are. I am not very patient, lol.

Well I thought I might get more information from the campus presentation
And up until now I've been very patient, but it's wearing thin.

The presentation is only a little over a week away.
I could use this time to prepare I suppose
and hopefully I'll be able to meet some local people at the presentation that I can get to know, so that I will at least have some familiar faces down there with me

oooh...I don't know...I'm just so nervous. Especially since my school has been extremely unhelpful in helping me find information (for the past 2 years) They just tell me to go to Purdue (where the presentation is) but...how do I know if I meet my school's requirements!? My stupid school doesn't even know what their requirements are. Ugh...I'd hate to apply and get rejected on the basis of my GPA. I'd rather wait until I met the requirements and apply...than get rejected. But I guess I'll never know until I try.

I totally understand how you're feeling. And believe me, I was soo nervous too but it really isn't bad. As for requirements for getting into the program, as long as you are a college student in good academic standing with your university/college you are qualified to apply. So unless you are on academic probation or something you should be good. Disney doesn't ask to look at your transcript or anything like that. If there are requirements from you university/college to do internships, however, they might be different. My university doesn't have any specific requirements except to be in good academic standing with them so it didn't make a difference for me. Just try to keep a positive attitude and you'll do great!!! :thumbsup2

I hate this point in the morning. I just went out to check the mail and there was nothing from Disney. Now it will be at least Monday before I get a reply because there's no mail on Sunday. At least during the week I have the hope that it will come the next day. I hate weekends!!! Anyone get a reply today?

Aww, hang in there! I'm sure it's on the way!

It's up to you. People get accepted either way. And the online presentation is just as good as the campus presentation.

Since it's only a week away, I would just wait and attend the school presentation.

thanks everyone! I do believe I'm in good academic standing with my school...so yay!
I'll just wait until the presentation, since my parents will probably want to go with me, and I've already requested that evening off work
=]
I'm super excited and hopeful :yay:

this is a question for current/past CP's or people that have already signed up for roomie notification:

When it asks you to log into the roomie notification part, i know the password is the part on my letter that says password, but for the user ID... is that the user name or my applicant number?

I've tried both and neither seem to be working. It says i may have to wait for the next business day to log in so they can process my fee, which is cool with me i was just curious which one it is!

Thanks in advance for your help guys:)

And to the people that haven't gotten their letters yet, im sure they will come early next week if you interviewed within the first couple of days! Seems like a bunch of people on the facebook group are getting in, so I'm sure your's isn't far behind:)

GOOD LUCK!!!:goodvibes

I believe it is the applicant number. And you can't do the notification process until the next day.

I should probably already know the answer to this question from other people's posts but what does the acceptance envelope look like. Is it a normal letter-size envelope? Is it a big envelope? Solid white or colored? Just curious to know what to expect.

The envelope is very large, and is white.

another question that i think people on here may be able to answer!

I know we can do roomie notification... but are we allowed to pick one of our roomies? I have one of my roomates already selected through facebook and I heard from someone that you can chose online when you do your roomate notification who you want, instead of disney picking for you, but you can only pick one person.

Does anyone know if this is true? And if it is, what do you all need from that other person?

Thanks again for all your guys' help!!! I'd call recruiting but I'm thinking this is a pretty basic question that a lot of people may know:)

Hey everyone!!! I just got accepted this week! I am so excited! So all of you who are waiting... you'll be fine! I applied in August and found out this past monday. I will be doing costuming! See you all there!:cheer2:
