Oh, that would be soooo cool! :teeth: It's like being a character performer w/out the audition or furry costume. ;) I would also love to work Peter Pan's Flight (just because I love that ride) or Pirates (well, I have a kind of unnatural love for Pirates...:lovestruc )

It would be funny if we ended up getting the same role. :goodvibes

I don't think I would pass the audition for character performer because dancing and me shouldn't even be mentioned in the same sentence

Peter Pan and Pirates are awesome! I think all these rides have air conditioning too :thumbsup2 A huge bonus. We should hear something around the same day next week. I'm so excited!

Well, I got in. Just received my letter in the mail-exactly 15 days after my interview. But it's not as exciting as you would think. I was accepted for Housekeeping, which is great and all, except for the fact that I didn't put Housekeeping down as a role I would be interested in doing. I didn't mention it to my interviewer nor did I check it off on my role checklist so I don't really know why/how I was chosen for the role. I don't really know what to do...I called my recruiter and left a message for her to see why I was chosen for this role when I never expressed any interest in doing it so I guess I'll just have to wait and hear back from her....I'm so disappointed.... :confused3 :sad1:

Who is your recruiter? I am from Oklahoma and when I call my recruiter her voicemail says she is the "Texas Regional Recruiter" or something like that. Your information is says you are from Texas so we might have the same recruiter. I called and left a message with my recruiter last Wednesday and still have not heard back from her. Don't lose hope if she doesn't call you back in the next couple of days. I hope it all works out. I am sure you will have fun regardless... Hopefully I'll get my letter soon...

It makes me nervous! I hope we both hear something soon.

I'm just afraid that when I do get my packet it will be a rejection letter. They have to give those out to...

I just really hope it comes tomorrow or Saturday. Does mail run on Monday since it is Columbus Day? I hope it does!!!

You'll probably get yours before me because i'm all the way in California. The recruiting office told me that they were sending it this week, so that could mean any day so it could be late next week that I get it or even the week after! :guilty: And the mail won't run on monday. Darn you Columbus!

:rotfl: :rotfl: That goes double for me! In high school, I pretty much lived in the theatre and did almost every show, but now that I look back on it, I am pretty surprised I got cast in the some of the roles that required me to dance...

Oh, good point about the air conditioning...I grew up in Southern California and I am not necessarily looking forward the humidity in Florida.

I'm all hyper/excited now, too. :yay:

Did you call your recruiter to see about when yours would be mailed? I keep trying to get a hold of my recruiter and she won't call me back. I didn't know if there was any other number worth trying.

I lived in Houston a few years ago and the humidity is awful! The only thing that will save me is the magic of WDW. Otherwise I might now be able to handle it XD

I emailed the recruiting office; they emailed me at the beginning of my application process telling me to notify them if I hadn't heard anything in four weeks. Well it's been over five. I got a vague response; they basically said "soon" so that doesn't really mean much to me

Aww, I live in Houston!! :) The humidity really isn't that bad, you get used to it. I actually can't stand no humidity because I'm always so static-y! LOL. Honestly though, Orlando isn't nearly as bad as Houston-in my opinion.

Don't forget though, you will be outside too. All the positions rotate.

I suppose something like merchandise or vacation planning would be better if you wanted AC XD

I think the best roles for total AC would be anything hospitality related, BBB, and maybe FSFB (you can also be outside for merchandise and sometimes for VP).

Bad news everyone. I just got a letter in the mail saying that my application was pending. I don't know why. Maybe I didn't pick enough roles? :confused3 I won't know anything until Dec. 1st. I don't know what I did wrong.

Oh no! I wonder why.

I don't know whether I should email my recruiter or if that would be a waste of time at this point. I'm just going to assume that this means I didn't get accepted and plan accordingly

How in the world is it going to be Dec 1st!!!!! That is crazy. Maybe they will send you one sooner. That makes me very nervous now! What region in the United States are you?

I'm in California. But this is different. You should hear soon. This means that for some reason they don't know whether they want me or not.

Oh yeah! You told me that I just forgot! I hope I hear soon. I really hope you get in. I would love to meet all the people from the message board once I'm out there... if I going to be out there.
