Spreading payments over 60 days for small direct add-on?

I am about to add-on only 35 points direct and I know I've spread my payments over 90 days for my previous (small) direct purchases.
However, my guide has always been more reluctant (it seems) to allow this.
Today, he told me I had to pay it all in full / upfront! Wasn't even offering a deposit / balance due a little later scenario!!
I told him I had been told by quality assurance (who is handling my title changes for my existing deeds) that closing would need to be delayed 90 days, but I could start the add-on, get my points immediately, etc.
So, then he said it's no longer 90 days, it's 60 days, but that is for 50+ points. But he definitely could delay my closing until my deeds update, but I'd need to pay a deposit and then the balance in 14 days.
So, I said something about not being sure... needing to cross into a new credit card billing cycle, etc and then he said maybe it could be stretched to 21 days.
Honestly, I'd like to deposit tomorrow, submit 1st payment next week, and last payment 1 month later. So, about 5 weeks to get this on 3 billing cycles. I'm already paying about a grand for them to change the titles for me (which I basically did so I could get these points in a day or two and because they make it super easy and I'm too lazy to retype deeds myself, etc).

Anyway, I'm looking for personal experiences of others that are both RECENT and for a SMALL CONTRACT to determine how I proceed tomorrow.
Thanks to anyone willing to share!

When I wanted to purchase direct, I wanted a particular thing (not your issue) and the Guide told me it couldn't be done. I refused to give in. I told him to find out and get back to me. He called me the next day and said that it could be done my way. If your Guide won't even investigate, perhaps you need a different Guide. I believe you can request a new one.

The 60 day thing has been reported frequently over the last several months. I don't think anyone else has reported for a sub-50 point deed, though. So, they definitely have been tightening things.

This was all started at the tail end of 2024.
The "clamp down" seemed to have started in 2025. I bought in January, and was told 60 days max (and they originally only wanted to go 30). I only needed to spread it across two billing cycles due to credit limits on the card I wanted to use, so it wasn't much of a burden either way.

I tried to buy ccv 25 point this month.
First they said yes over 60 days.
Then they said minimum of 50 points only for ccv.
I bought resale instead.

We have been shopping around for a resale contract as well, but I just wanted this small direct add on to get a reservation I'd like to secure.
It's really more about the fact that it shouldn't be different rules for different people. And I shouldn't have to get in a stand-off over it. lol
I don't even feel happy about buying the points anymore. I feel uncomfortable because I have to try to "push" my guide for something that others are freely offered. It's crazy.
I do think CCV has had a minimum buy in of 50 points since the beginning. I don't know why some are 25 and some are 50. But it sounds to me like your guide would have given the 60 days if at a resort that didn't have a 50 minimum buy. I'm buying AKV which is 25.

I'm with you on this. I told my guide that if one of my resales falls thru I want an April UY Riv direct even though my BLT is February UY.

April makes the most sense for our travel dates and i want to take advantage of Magical beginnings if i bought now. He told me they can give me October because they're actively selling that. I do not need an October UY. I didnt try to argue it because I'm not buying yet. But when the time comes if they don't let me pick my UY, I'm not buying direct. I'm spending over $30k here and committing to years of travel, I should be granted a year that works for me.

yes, the guide offered 60 days for 25 points at akv.

In December I bought 30 pts and paid in 3 installments, deposit and 1/2 the balance 30 days and 60 days later. My guide was very accommodating. She didn't make me feel like I was asking for anything unusual.

Did you have access to the points right away, or did you have to wait 60 days?
