just wondering if you guys have any tips on where to find those spray water bottle fan thing-a-ma-bobs? We got one at the theme parks last year but are in need of another one for my youngest son but want to get one at a store before our trip rather than at the theme park again.

any ideas on stores that carry these things? Thanks! :)

Walmart, Walgreens, CVS Pharmacy. Lots of stores carry them, although some only put them out seasonally. You shouldn't have any trouble finding some. :)

While these are readily available at many places, I would advise anyone buying them from one of these places, to please use them at home and around before you go, I've found them to break easy. Really easy. UtahMaMa talked about this last year and a lot of people also said the same thing in response to her comments on them breaking easily in one of her posts. I know that the ones in the parks are outrageously priced, BUT! When you do buy them there at WDW, and if it breaks or the battery starts to wear down they will replace it at any kiosk where you can buy them. All you have to do is tell the CM and they will just exchange it right there, just keep your receipt just incase, the CM's are very big on receipts. :confused3

As of September they came to 17.00 after tax!! Now I realize that sounds so expensive but we too had bought some before we left and they broke!! After the initial shock of the price(we bought 3:scared1: ) we were so happy we did! They worked great, we could get fresh ice water and batteries whenever we needed and they are so darn cute! I figured with as much as we spend on all the other stuff ie. hats, light up thingamabobbers etc. that what the heck! They were really great so good luck in deciding what you'll do:goodvibes

These are what we use.

VERY durable. We use them all day, every day.

VERY inexpensive. $4 at Wal-Mart.

They do not spray water, but they are
HANDS-FREE, as they hang around your neck and blow air continuously straight UP at your face.
Some others have said they use these and, if they want, carry just a spray bottle of water to squirt, if they need the extra moisture.

3 AA batteries per unit.

We use rechargeable Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) Batteries and charge the batteries every evening.

Each set of batteries will run the fan continuously for 6-8 hours (we carry an extra set per fan in the parks.
