Sports restaurant near sports complex

Can you tell I don't know the name of this restaurant? Anyway I know it has popular sports heros atmosphere etc. Just wondering (as I don't know exactly where its at or how to get there either) if its worth going out of our way as we are on limited time. I have 2 well 3 including hubby sports maniacs who would love the atmosphere, but I don't want to spend 4 hours getting to and from the place. Any tips or short cuts from you guys would be so helpful. Thanks! Which park would this restaurant be closest to - that may help me decide how to arrange this also.

You must be talking about the All-Star Sports Cafe. It is part of Disney's Wide World of Sports. It is directly to the right of the gated entrance. You do not need to pay to enter the Cafe.

I guess it is closest to Animal Kingdom &/or MGM.

If you do not have a car and do not want to take a taxi, the only way to get there is to go to MGM and take a bus to WWOS (Wide World of Sports). I personally wouldn't go there in the middle of a park day unless I had a car (too much travel time for me). Have you thought about lunch at ESPN, instead? It would be perfect for lunch on a day you have planned for EPCOT as it is just a short walk (10 minutes, max) from EPCOT's International Gateway entrance. That's between the French and British pavillions in World Showcase.

Thanks CarolMN. Is it the same basic atmosphere? What about photos and memorabilia (sp?) - they would love a place where there is lots to look at - kind of like the Planet Hollywood or Hard Rock atmosphere but sports instead. I appreciate the quick reply posts - so much help on these boards
