It's also believed they may have illegally taped the Rams practices prior to the 2001 Super Bowl - which of course came down to the final play of the game.
Hush...... that's just hearsay

They checked the balls throughout the game and switch them out as they get low, worn, whatever, right?
So why does Jackson feel the ball is low and give it to his equipment manager? Why wouldn't he just tell the refs?
The Colts complained about this previously and nothing was done. Honestly it really seems like a non rule, rule, one that's there but in general they let it go within reason.
This time the Colts get a ball as proof, and have an Indianapolis sports reporter tweet it out so it will get attention.
I think he gave it to him to mark Ball #, so that he could get the ball after the game. I think they are entitled to that becasue he intercepted.
I predict "I have no knowledge of what happened to the balls on Sunday", and then everyone's eyes move off of Brady and to the next stop down the line: the team's Ball Boys. Safe bet???Brady is set for his conference at 3:45...
EDIT: now read bumped to 4:15

Actually I think that is correct.... pressure is measured as a force against a surface. Why is it psi, anyway? A football is three-dimensional. Shouldn't it be pounds [per] cubic inch?

So you believe this is all "haters gonna hate" and that the 11 underinflated balls are ok and not cheating?
Sorry, but I have a huge problem with that. I don't care who the team is - cheating is cheating. If it is confirmed by the league that the Patriots intentionally deflated the balls below the league minimum then they absoutely deserve severe punishment. Especially since this isn't the first time they have been caught cheating. It is not an issue of hating, it is an issue of right, wrong, and cheating.
As for the Colts still losing? So what? Does that make the cheating ok? Cheating is only bad if it changes the outcome of the game? No, cheating is cheating.
And the QBs that like to scruff their balls, have high or low pressure, I'm assuming that these are within the confines of the league rules therefore are not cheating and not a point of which to argue.
The Broncos are benefitting from the Patriot scandal.
A local sportscaster reported last night that knowing he could deflate balls helped Peyton make his final decision to play one more season.![]()
Oh don't get your panties in a bunchJust another controversial subject for people and media to blow out of proportion. It's always something.
And out come the moral police. What exactly do you think is going to happen? If proven they will be fined like before and everyone moves on.
I'm not taking away the fact that Tom Brady is a terrific quarterback (coming from a Giants fan) but after Belichick was found to be a cheater and fined $500,000 back in 2007 he lost all credibility to me. The Patriots might win, but i'm sure after this last scandal came out about them deflating footballs, alot of people will be rooting for the Seahawks.
I guarantee it will be more than a fine.
Right now? None.We will see. What kind of proof do they have actually?
Right now? None.
It's the Patriots. There's a lot of hate because people like to hate who's been on top, and we've been on top a loooong time. Since 2001 we've been in the top mix, and I understand that can be annoying. Do I like people knocking my team because they're good? No, but it's a sorta free country, so go ahead. I don't like cheating, and I hope they find zero evidence that they did anything to the balls. I know people don't want to hear it, but it could be just one of those things. Either ref oversight, weather, whatever. Crap happens. It didn't decide the game so if there's nothing there, let it go and let's move on.So whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty?
