Has anyone used either a quick service meal here or a smack credit. They sell 16'' pizza as well as slice am asuming 16'' would be quick service meal and slice would be snack can anyone confirm this. This is our first time using dining plan. :dance3:
Thanks

This question has been asked before (http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1046331) but has never been answered.

Generally, at other places where pizza is offered, one CS credit would get individual pizzas, not 16" pizzas. Snack credits could be used only for drinks. In some cases, I've read that more than one guest can combine CS credits to get a 16" pizza.

When we were there last fall the pizza window was NOT on the plan. However, this may have changed...

The Spoodles Pizza Window is definitely listed as participating on the plan in the brochures, as both a snack location and a CS location in 2006, and as a snack-only location in 2007. That, combined with the assumptions the OP made, makes me think that perhaps there were too many guests who were expecting to be able to use a CS credit to get a 16" pizza, so that in 2007, there won't be any confusion: It'll just be a snack location, limited by the $4 limit. (Keep in mind, though, that individual slices of pizza are less than $4 -- at least they are this year.)

Either that or they haven't finished putting all the dots into the table in the 2007 brochure, yet.

Okay, we finally have a definitive answer to this question:

Just thought I would post my experience with the pizza window at Spoodles on the Boardwalk.

We arrived late Sunday night August 27 and checked in to the BWV around 9:30. Kids wanted to swim first thing and after we headed out to the Boardwalk for some pizza. It was 10:30 pm. I went to the pizza window and really just wanting the whole pizza. I asked where it would "fall" under the Dining plan. The CM explained that for a whole pizza it would take up 6 CS credits because there are 6 slices of pizza ( LARGE slices , I might add). I didn't mind using the 6 cs credits at that time . ( there were 5 of us...3 children) Then she went on to say I would also get the 6 desserts ( which I had forgotton about. ) They were 6 large brownies from the BW bakery packaged "to go " for us in separate boxes. Then came the drinks. I didn't need 6 sodas at 10:45 at night so she suggested she could just give us 6 bottles of water to use in the parks the next day !

Overall ...it was a great use of 6 cs credits in my opinion.

Just thought I'd share because I knew there were questions about the pizza window as I was trying to do some research before our trip!

Enjoy!

Thanks for the info. Did think it would be the best deal ever if getting a whole pizza for cs credit.

It looks like, based on above response, that they have changed the way they use the DDP. My mom, my DD, and myself were there in Jan. 05 when the plan was new. We were looking for a CS, non-park meal, and choose Spoodles pizza window. I was all set to order 3 individual slices and the CM told me that I could use CS for the whole pizza. She let us order 1 whole pizza, 1 large salad, 1 order of breadsticks, and 3 sodas. She only deducted 2 CS! :goodvibes This was one of the best deals ever! I think the breaksticks were in lieu of dessert-they didn't have any then. She probably should have charged us OOP for the extra soda, but like I said the plan was brand new and alot of the CMs weren't sure how to use it. (And neither were we!) :rotfl2:

We didn't eat there last Sept. so I guess it has changed. :sad2:

Yes, I think a lot of the more outrageously generous anecdotes have been addressed, bringing the "price" for such items more comparable to a reasonable cash exchange.
