I am planning my ADR's for my Sept trip w/ free dining! Our first day we are not going to the parks so I wanted to plan a nice dinner at either DTD or the Boardwalk. Anyone have any suggestions or been to either of these restaurants? Is one better than the other? I heard Spoodles is very generous with the dining plan and I heard WPC charges a surcharge for menu items. Also, I know it is easier to get to DTD from Pop then to Boardwalk. Any help would be appreciated!

Going 9/23-9/29-Pop Century
Already scheduled ADR's
Hollywood & Vine FDP
Narcoossee's
Le Cellier
Coral Reef

While I have not been to Spoodles, I would highly recommend Wolfgang Puck Cafe. This past January I had a wonderful experience there. We asked about the surcharge for certain menu items and they explained that we could order whatever we wanted from the menu on the dining plan. The food was excellent. Only downfall was that the tables were a little too close together for my liking.

Have a wonderful trip!

We have eaten to Spoodles every trip since they opened! It is just wonderful. The 4 cheese flat bread is like heaven on a plate.

I have not been to WGP at DTD, but I've been to the one here and it was just not that good. So, we have stayed away from the one at Disney. At DTD, we usually go to Earl of Sandwich or Portobella Yacht Club.

I recently read on the DIS that Wolfgang Puck Cafe was no long participating on DDP. I'd call the ADR number to make sure they're still participating if I were you.

WGP is not participating in the DDE program. They are still with the DDP.
Also curious about what apps are allowed recently. There have been conflicting reports regarding this. Some say just soup and salad and some say that any app is allowed except for sushi.

We loved Spoodles when we went on our last trip. The mediterranean dips and the lemon shrimp appetizer are wonderful and so were our entrees. Wolfgang Puck on the other hand was just ok for me.
