Dinner at Spoodles last night in between rainstorms...

First time we had ever eaten there and we really enjoyed it. I think one of the best meals we have had anywhere at Disney.

Way underexposed but I liked it anyway.

LOVE the bench and table shots.

We've eaten at Spoodles twice and enjoyed it both times. Best meal at Disney? That's a stretch for us. Still, it's too bad it is being replaced.

We really enjoyed it. Too bad- I had not heard it was closing.

Its replacement is called Kouzzina by Cat Cora and will feature Mediterranean food. Spoodles is scaling back its offerings (dropping breakfast and dinner will be a buffet) starting in July, closing up completely August 2.

Love the outdoor shots - rain might scare most people away but it makes for some great photos once it stops! :)

I was really disappointed to hear that Spoodles was going to be closing. Ate there for the first time the night before the half-marathon this past January and it was FANTASTIC. I can't say that it was one of the best meals I've ever had at WDW (Le Cellier will always be #1, AFAIC), but it was a very strong 2nd. I'm so grateful I thought to get the recipe from the hostess!

How was running the half-marathon at WDW in January? My DW and I are looking for a half to run and we're thinking about one up in Virginia Beach that's music themed, but it's in August :scared:. I would think January in FL might give us better weather :confused3. It's also a really good excuse to visit WDW.

Jeff, awesome shots as usual. I'm with Code on the table and bench shots being my faves. And sorry for hijacking your thread.

Weather-wise, it was nice this past year; I think it might've gotten up to 80 or so that day, so it was a little chilly to start, but I'd so much rather be cold than hot during a race! 2008 was warmer than that, so that was hard to adapt to after training in StL in the winter, but no matter what the weather ends up like that day, you absolutely can't beat the atmosphere. I always tell people that if they only do one half in their entire lives, do the WDW one. I can post some of my not-so-great photos I took during both races later, if people want (they're not the best because I only took a P&S with me and because it's somewhat more difficult to compose shots while running. )
