I can't seem to make my mind up. I had an ADR for Le Cellier for dinner and then about a month ago decided I wanted to try a place we had never been before, so changed it to Chef's de France for lunch. However looking at the menu I wonder if my mom and ex will like it. We've also never been to Spoodes, so now am thinking about changing again. Which do you prefer and what do you order at either/both? We are on the DDP if that matters.

Lunch at Chefs is great, though dinner is much much better. Spoodles is another great choice. I don't think you can go wrong with any of these choices.

At Chefs, for lunch, I recommend Croque monsieur. It amazed me how they coudl take a simple ham and cheese sandwich and elevate it to cuisine. At Spoodles, I love the Garlic Shrimp appetizer. I haven't tried any of the current entrees.

On our trip in June, lunch at Chefs and dinner at Spoodles were 2 of the best meals of our trip! Do I have to pick one?

I had the quiche and DD24 had the mac and cheese at Chefs and they were both wonderful. It was our first time dining there and we will be back. The restaurant is so pretty. it was nice break from the heat of the day. The tables by the window are great for people watching.

Now Spoodles .. that's a place I can talk about forever! We have eaten there at least once (sometimes as many as 4 times, counting breakfast) every single trip since they opened. We would not dream of skipping it. The 4 cheese flatbread is like heaven on a plate! They start you with wonderful bread and olive oil dip. This is not plain ol' olive oil with a bit of pepper, but a mixute of I don't know what all kind of delicious stuff! I have to make myself stop eating it! Entrees .. the steak is always good. DD and I split it sometimes. The lemon chicken is yummy, too. Oh .. and the dessert sampler .. oh my gosh.. YUM!

Ok .. if you are forcing me to pick, I'll pick Spoodles. But, if possible, try both! :thumbsup2

Ok, you guys convinced me to do both. I just switched things around (Tempanyaki to lunch) and got Chefs de France for dinner. I also cancelled Whispering Canyon and made an ADR at Spoodles.

I also switched my breakfast ADRs for Konas and Rainforest Cafe around with no problems. The CM said they had lots of openings for all five restaraunts for the last week in Sept. Maybe it's not going to be as crowded as we thought? Thanks!

I like Chefs, but we liked the menu going in, so I won't comment on that since you're not sure about the menu.

Spoodles...I would HIGHLY recommend AVOIDING Spoodles. I know there are plenty who enjoy it, and that's why we went in with high hopes, but the food was only "eh", and the service---from the "greeter" to the host to the waiter---was the pits! We saw one waiter there that seemed to be doing a great job, and the chef was nice (although the food was only okay); the rest of the staff were pretty apathetic at best and condescending at worst. It was the ONLY place we ate at that we don't plan to return to. I've read elsewhere that service is "spotty." We really wished we could take this evening back and go somewhere else!
