So...color me forgetful, but I got my email reminder today from DL that I get free admission in two weeks because of my birthday. I completely forgot about this promotion! I went in April for 3 days with family, and didn't anticipate going again this year. I live in San Diego, so I'd just drive up in the morning and stay late if I go, but I won't have anyone to go with.

I'm currently unemployed and feeling pretty down about it, so I think I could use a free day at DL as a distraction! I don't know that I'd have the same magical experience all alone, but I don't think I would dislike it! Anyone have any tips for a solo trip, or positive experiences you'd like to share to help sway me?

Thanks!

Hey it's FREE (except for gas and food). Wish I lived that close,I'd be there in a New York minute. :thumbsup2

It's Disneyland!!! :cool1:

Go on and take the trip. Have fun, relax & enjoy.

And btw Happy Birthday (2 weeks ahead!!!) :cheer2:

Thanks guys! The more I think about it, the more excited I get! I think a corn dog and cupcake from Pooh's might be the perfect birthday meal :) HM and SM are the two rides that will be down that I actually care about, but I guess that means I'll be doing Indy more :)

And Indy has single rider! :thumbsup2 Make sure you take advantage of all the single rider lines (Splash, Indy, Soarin, GRR, Maliboomer, Screamin, Mulholland Madness and TSMM). Have a great birthday trip. :hippie:

I did my own spontaneous solo trip on 08-07-09.

It was awesome. There is nothing like touring DLR by yourself. Take advantage of it and do the things you want without anyone in tow. Have a great time!
