Totally agree, the service at BCV was not bad, they were efficient, just no smiles, no enthusiams, no greetings.

At SSR everyone we met seem to truly enjoy being there. We had a fuse/breaker blow and maintenance was there in 10 mins. Housekeeping was great, everyone we met from ground crew to front desk just were so helpful and pleasant to talk to.

It is just a relaxing, happy place. We went over to WL for dinner one night, crowded congested, no places to park and all I could think was how glad I was to go back to the peace and quiet of SSR and the wonderful breeze on my balcony.

You'll LOVE SSR. It is tied with OKW as my very favorite! Simply amazing. I would have told you to request the Grandstand, Springs or Congress Park, but with the new pool being built, it wouldn't matter as much to me anymore. I like CP because it's closest to DTD, has a quiet pool that overlooks DTD and is right beside the main pool and restaurants. The new pool will have its own quick service restaurant, though, which will be VERY nice. And...I'm with you. I LOVE Turf Club.

I'll see if I can find the link on how to post a signature picture. If I can find it, I'll post it. Again, congrats!

To the OP...GORGEOUS pics! Made me very homesick for WDW right now. We have about 50+ days to go till our BCV stay. I'm SO ready. After seeing these pics, SSR may be my next reservation!

Truly I don't feel there is a best area, all are nice for different reasons. Springs is closest to the main pool and check in area.
Congress Park has fabulous views of Downtown Disney.
Grandstand has a nice pool.
Paddocks has nice water views and a new pool at the end of June.
Carousel while a little further removed is great for those with a car and the second bus stop. It will be close to the new pool at Paddocks.

Funny, cause I watched that one that night. It still thrills me from B and W to colour. And I'm much too old for such thrills.

And who cares if it's dreary - I SO want to go to Chicago. One day. Here's to a trip there soon and a WDW one for you.

Sorry I missed this Newbie. I had my birthday and closed on my new home (condo) this week - same day.

Welcome!!!! And congratulations.

I agree with Sammie. I have always stayed in Congress Park. However, this time I got the last building in the Paddocks and loved it. It was actually closer to the CP amenities than the CP park building I usually nab.

And The Grandstand looked so incredibly peaceful.

As for the signature - I'm no help.

Hmmm, 50 plus days. I'm at BCV at the end of August. Can't wait. This AP - well I"ve gone reservation crazy. Have fun and thanks.
