**spoilers*** Lost Season Five **spoilers**

Brerrabbit--

I really enjoyed reading your thoughts. Those were all good arguments. I like your stream of consciousness with your thoughts on Richard. DH and I agree with that thought. It makes total sense.

That theory of time travel AFTER the crash would help explain why Richard never ages. He time travels.

Personally, anything with time travel drives me crazy. It's so complicated and I get confused (and I'm a relatively smart person). So, I hope this resovles quickly.

Also agree with everyone about Charlotte's "constant." That makes sense too.

Helps to talk it all out. We do the same at work.

Okay here is something I am wondering about. Ben is trying to get the O6 back on the Island but what about Desmond? He is not one of the 6. Does Ben not know about him? Or does he even matter in the grand scheme of things?

I'm curious to see why the time travel works the way it does.....the Survivors don't move, but the island and the others move together. That's why Richard told Locke that after the next "time shift" Richard wouldn't recognize Locke and for Locke to show him the compass. So I guess that means that the Others are "part" of the island since they move through time with it

I could've sworn that the time travel was explained the other way around - as the Survivors WERE the ones moving in time and NOT the Others. Meaning the Survivors are moving forward and backward through time and that is why THEIR stuff comes and goes. If they have gone backwards in time then the Survivors and their stuff aren't on the island yet. The Others always have their stuff.

I do have a question - during the flaming arrow scene - have we seen that before? Like some sort of "battle" between the Survivors and the Others? But this time people are out of place because of the time travelling thing. My mind may be playing tricks on me but I want to say that the Survivors used those flaming arrows against the Others but now they are shooting them at themselves. Anyone?

Kind of funny that Neal guy last night. The first time we saw him was in the deleted scenes on the season 4 dvd. Then he pops up last night, only to be killed. Sort of like the "red shirts" in the old Star Trek - whenever Kirk, Spock, et al would beam down to a planet, there would always be 1 or 2 crewmen in red shirts who always ended up being the first one killed.;)

They were going to fry his *** like chicken! Sorry, but every time I see him I have to say that - from the movie Jury Duty. He was annoying.

Funny you say that about Star Trek then someone else mentioned the woman was also in the show.

I want to know who Jill is also.

Does Sun have to take her baby back or can the baby stay behind? I would think she would take the baby since they won't be able to leave the island again. But I didn't know if the baby HAD to go back.

Who was behind the blood test for Aaron? Ben or Widmore? I can see it being either one. Ben did it so that Kate would run and be willing to go back to the island to make sure he gets everyone back. Widmore did it knowing Kate would run and the island is the only safe place for her so he could track her and find out where the island is.

What was in the box Ben took out of the vent in the hotel room?

This was my understanding of the time travel as well.

Aren't the flaming arrows from season one?

But....at the end of last season, Ben turned that "donkey wheel" to move the island. After Locke talked to Christian in the cabin, he said that they had to move the island. And the Oceanic 6 were in the helicopter when the island disappeared - if the Survivors were the ones moving back/forth in time, wouldn't the island have stayed where it was and the folks in the helicopter could have possibly landed on the island? Then again, if the island is only moving back/forth in time, why would it disappear? Wouldn't something like an island be in a fixed location?:confused3

This show is so darn confusing!!

If the lady at the end is Daniel's mum, isn't she supposed to be in Oxford and not in LA? When we saw her with all her equipment (it looked really dated) I was sure it was Daniel's mum but then we see her with Ben in LA.

Desmond was clear he was going back to Oxford, so now I am not so sure.

I love lost and I love time travel stuff so this just got sooooo better for me.

We are a couple of days behind you over here in the UK so won't look on this thread until much later in the week.

Ok...another episode tomorrow! Anyone have any good spoilers to post? I'm so impatient!

My DS18 saw a Lost preview while he was watching tv last night (I missed it). He said they showed Jin, and it looked like he was with the survivors and it did NOT look like a flashback.:cool1: Let's hope Jin survived the explosion on the freighter! I've had a feeling he did, but nothing's certain until we actually see him again. Keep your fingers crossed!

Oh, that's for sharing. I'm really wanting some more spoilers!!

Just had to share that I saw Walt in a Tyson chicken commercial twice yesterday. His voice was deep and he was tall!

Ok, so that's what my guys were talking about the other day! There was some commercial on tv, and they kept saying it was Walt, but by the time I got there, it was over and I missed him.

Why is it that the men in my family can sit there and give the tv their full attention, even commercials, while I'm always running around and doing something else? Lost and Survivor are the only shows that I sit and watch without doing something else (like knitting), but even during those shows, once a commercial comes on, I'm either emptying the dishwasher or changing loads in the washer/dryer, or getting lunch ready, etc. etc. My DH and DS's park their butts on the couch and don't move until their show is over. Sigh...I guess it's a "man thing" that I'll never understand.....

OH WALT!!! I kept thinking do I know that kid? He looks so familiar!:rotfl2:

Hi, just jumping into your thread.:) If the O6 go back, what about Sun's little baby? She can't go, right? Wouldn't it disrupt something....disruptable?

I was wondering that too, whether she would be able to take the baby back or not. And why was it ok for walt and michael to leave? Why don't they need to be back?

But since the baby was conceived on the island, don't ya'll think the baby would have to go back as well?

That's what I would think as well :confused3

Well, as my DH says- there is a reason it's called LOST :lmao:

I saw that commercial, too! Before I could say anything to my daughter about Walt being in there, he was gone.

Can't wait for tonight's episode!

Charles Widmore! (I don't want to say too much for the folks on the west coast who haven't seen it yet.)

Anyone figure out who Ellie (the girl holding the gun on Daniel) is? ;)

Could it be Daniel's mother? I am really "lost" this season. I had trouble hearing some of the words tonight...I'm not good with accents.
