Spoiler Vent

Spoiler text&gt Spoiler text goes here &lt Spoiler text

The above can be done this way:

Maybe i'm the lone opinion here, but if I taped something and really wanted to watch it, i'd have to expect that every radio station, tv program, etc., already has the "spoiler" info on it. So do all the Yahoo, AOL and newspapers (some). I wouldn't be on the internet at all.

No flame, just pointing out that the reality shows air here a day later than they do in the US and we do not get american radio or most american TV shows, but those that we get like Today or Good Morning America we avoid until after the show airs.

All I am asking is to keep the spoiler content inside and not in the subject line, just a little courtesy on the poster's part.

My only issue is that a lot of these reality tv shows seem to create threads of their own and are separate topics all together from the OT, hoever they do have that link to the reality show. I just don't see how it can be done all under one thread. I know I stated it already, but if I really don't want to know the result of a show i've taped, I can't listen/watch/read any media until I watch the show. I do appreciate the fact you're overseas and unfortunately don't have the means to see the show the day it airs. Hopefully we can try and limit these spoilers in the future. I know I goofed and did it once a few weeks ago.

It cracks me up when East Coast people refuse to see this as an issue. They refuse to see it as an issue because the only reason they ever have to deal with it is if they are too busy to watch a show and tape it for later.

Those of us who are just going along our normal daily business, not even thinking about what's on evening tv yet, find ourselves logging on while dinner is cooking and accidently finding out things.

It is not a hard thing to do - just keep the spoilers in the text not the titles!

Frankly I'm more bothered by the fact that people are unable to think of others, than I am by the actually spoilers.

OUCH, well I am an east coaster, yet I don't post on the internet and watch TV at the same time. I guess my original point with my first post was that I listen to the radio in the AM and the first thing they do is talk about "news" which a lot of times is reality tv. I'm sure people aren't trying to be insensitive, just perhaps they don't know the rules or just forget (it happens).

This is a problem during the Olympics too. Even our local radio broadcasters will say: "if you don't want to hear who won medals today, turn off your radio for 2 minutes". We get regular sporting events live, but Olympics that are overseas are tape-delayed for us.

An old solution used to be to change the font color to the background color:

This is the lighter color f1f1f1

This is the darker color ffebd7

If you highlight the text area above with your mouse (click and drag over it) you will see the hidden text.

Just a thought.

:)

This is what I mentioned on page one. Glad to know its available to use here as well.
