Spoiled by September Crowds?

I used to be able to go in Sept or beginning of a December but I'm a teacher now myself and can really only go summertime.

If it were up to me, I'd do beginning of May. I'm fairly certain that is not too bad crowd-wise.

We've been the first week in May, and it was awesome because of the reasons already listed.

Never been in January, but we did go in December 2014, and the weather was cold! Lows in the 40s, highs in the 50s. It was awesome. We didn't sweat. The entire trip was so pleasant and we loved wearing winter clothes at Disney. It was a real treat! The biggest downside is you have to pack more if you go in January, because it could be 85 or 55. My biggest issue with January is the refurbishments. You can have multiple attractions down.

You'll love early May!

Well, you went during what is probably the slowest week of the year. The week after Labor Day is considered one of the lowest since kids are back in school. Both May and Jan are also good months. I love January, also low crowds, but weather is cooler. I actually prefer the cooler weather though, I do not like the heat and humidity of the summer months. May would be perfect IMO. I would love to try a May trip one year.
