i called member services yesterday(my 180 day Mark) to try to reserve for the Wednesday during our trip and apparently it's not available to book past Dec 28th? So is it likely that they will open up soon for January, or more likely that they are changing this event in general. My family and I are really looking forward to doing this as a night away from parks to just hang out together and have some fun.

We did it last summer with our daughter, her husband and our 5 year old grandson. We loved it! Plenty of food and it included one adult beverage. They had balloons tied to our alley and every one got socks. My grandson also was given a voucher for the gift shop and picked out a t shirt. The session was for 2 hours, I believe, and was plenty of time to play our two games. The staff was very nice!
We would definitely do it again!
I am not sure if they do this in the winter, but if there isn't a member night I would still go for dinner and play a game or two.

We just did this with a group of 9 -- ages 8 to 60+ -- in June. Everyone agreed it was one of the highlights of our trip. The food was really good, the music was great, and bowling is always fun.

Just go to splitsville, you don't need the DVC package and you will have a lane to yourself.
